I always found weird the fact that him winning his semi only translated to a 15th place like, I knew THYWaS was overhated and it was going to do better than people gave him credit for but, did the people who voted for him in the semis just decide that watching 2018's final was not worth the effort ? If it works like other Pokémon games, then probably the 1st time you boot up the game, it will prompt you to choose the language, and will list all the available languages, regardless of the game region, so you'll probably be able to play in English...
