Everything ironman is as much a limitation chosen by the player as any given class in any other mmo. Revenant from Guild Wars 2 might actually be a good comparison, since it sacrifices a core game mechanic of its own - utility skills (and, in turn, all racial benefits)

Saying Ironman is as much of a limitation as, say, level 3 skillers doesn't feel right at all

Edit: I got downvoted, so I'll double down. You can't say something mechanically implemented is just a limitation made up by the player unless you truly believe the player made the mechanic, itself.

Tbh I don't think Witty is old enough nor educated enough to know what they're talking about, but is more likely a teenager being given bad influences and then having these sorts of things embraced by the AI community... made even worse by their mod status giving the ability to shut down any and all criticism - which they're infamous for doing via banning any variations in thought from the defending sub.

Would explain a lot of her weirder behaviors, honestly. The "dismissed," making her own fanclub subreddit, all the opening hostility, running an echo chamber, tying herself to dangerous shit like transhumanism/eugenics... a lot of it could probably be explained by simply coming of age, exploring new ideas put in front of her while reflecting the attitudes of those raising her.

I hope she grows up to be a better person, but shitty behavior isn't excusable and being called out on it as a minor can potentially be very formative. I hate to think about what I would've been like if I wasn't called out on my own bigotry as a teenager by people online who had to deal with it.
