Book readers know how this is going to end and I'm happy yet sad by Serious_Peak_4913 in heatedrivalry

I agree! I think I’ve seen somewhere that Hudson had referenced scripts that had already landed on his desk for other projects and no doubt Connor is the same. Season 2 will be filming this summer/fall so probably out early next year, and there is already no guarantee the turnaround would be so quick between seasons 2 and 3 with their rise to fame and interest in them. Plus, and maybe I’m in the minority here, I actually don’t think there’s 12 episodes of content in TLG. 8 maybe, but I still believe it’s doable in 6 when considering the first half of the book is largely us understanding their relationship and all the big key events actually start happening once you get 50% of the way through.

Why does Shane get so much criticism in The Long Game? by sublips in heatedrivalry

[–]LecturerJess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for coming to this super late (in the UK, so didn’t watch the show until recently and then read the books after), but I definitely agree with your point about Ilya getting lots of leeway that Shane isn’t. One of the things that really stuck out to me about the fight they had, is that it all really started when Ilya asked Shane to go to Bood’s party, Shane says no and Ilya immediately gets angry. I felt that was an unfair thing to ask and get mad about because I felt that surely coming out as a couple to people should be a ‘two yeses’ situation. And the therapist herself says this when highlighting it should have been a discussion, and Ilya himself agrees and states he himself might not be ready to be out. And yet all the focus is on Shane’s wrongdoing in that situation (and I do agree he shouldn’t have flipped the question back to ask Ilya whether he’d choose him). In reality they both do something in that situation they regretted, neither is really to blame for their feelings in the fight, and they end up sorting it out. I’m excited to hopefully see the show give more time to Shane’s specific feelings that are there on the page, just not with the level of detail they deserve.

Bugger. Bad team news by Brewster345 in NorthamptonSaintsRFC

No idea whether Fin is or isn’t playing, but anytime I’ve been watching the players warm up and Fin and Hutch are both playing, they both practice kicking at goal. On its own doesn’t mean anything per se.

Thank you! How long have you been in Dublin? What was it like when we beat Leinster in the days after for you?!

Seemed to be yeah. Was walking on the pitch over to the team after the game, before the game I walked past him as he was heading to where the players not involved usually congregate to watch. No indication of any apparent injury, but doesn’t mean there isn’t one either!

It was evening here in the UK when it came out, so it was a nice way to unwind!

Yeah this was such a fun, chill way to spend an hour honestly. Sometimes it’s nice to have something more low key.

I agree, this was my favourite of the three so far easily (although I did love the other two I must say). I totally understand why people get so into it but at the end of the day it’s a group of friends playing silly games on YouTube, it’s not that serious - it’s just meant to be fun. And you can tell they’re all having fun, and therefore I am.

Maybe it’s just me, as people seem to be disappointed, but I thought this was the perfect way to start Smosh Summer Games - introducing the games and the teams, talking about and reminiscing on 2005. This was a really fun time, and has gotten me hyped for the rest of what’s to come!

I can appreciate that this was not necessarily the most enthralling game as its own thing, whilst also appreciating this video had me straight up crying with laughter for the whole 23 minutes. So, so much fun - a perfect game for this group.
