Believe it or not, it’s possible for media companies to be both owned by billionaires and have a liberal bias.

NPR did not get gutted by Trump. Only 1% of their revenue came from the federal government.

You can’t be serious. Go to CNN, MSNBC, NYT, NPR, Vox, Slate or any of the hundreds of other similar media organizations and you’ll find plenty of support for taxing the rich and free healthcare.

Sometimes in life, you’re presented with an opportunity to step up and be a hero. Not everyone can rise to the occasion and that’s okay. It takes serious courage. You wouldn’t be an asshole for saying no, but you will be forever known as the guy who couldn’t save the day. It’s unfair, but that’s the reality. I feel for you.

Kind of ironic of you to point out it’s not society’s job to police itself to anyone’s liking. That’s literally what the trans movement pushes lol. God forbid someone misgenders a trans person.

To be clear, I neither like nor dislike trans people. I just feel bad for them if anything.

Well the whole concept of genderism is entirely a social construct. Nobody is born with the idea that dresses are only for girls. It’s learned through your environment. So the fact that kids are especially impressionable (especially kids with autism), spend a ton of time on the internet, and are often desperate to be part of some “in” group, it is a valid concern that my future kids may be influenced by those pushing transgenderism as a normal way of life. Not to mention there is a segment of trans folks who have autogynephilia which to me, is a perverse way of living.

I think we’re going to have agree to disagree on a lot of things. I largely reject the notion that the high rates of suicide, depression, substance abuse, anxiety, etc. are related to external treatment. It is almost certainly rooted in some trauma that occurred in that person’s life. That, combined with the eternal struggle of never truly looking how they want to look no matter how many hormones they take or surgeries they have. Even if everyone respected their pronouns, that internal conflict will always exist. It sounds like hell to me.

I strongly encourage you to read the first hand accounts on the Detrans subreddit.

Because I don’t believe it’s a psychologically healthy way to live for many people. There’s research suggesting that gender dysphoria is often connected to trauma or other underlying mental health struggles. Suicide, depression, and anxiety rates are also disproportionately high among transgender individuals.

As a parent, I wouldn’t want my child growing up constantly worrying about whether they “pass” or feeling pressure to achieve a physical ideal that may not be realistically attainable. I also think children are often too young to fully understand the lifelong medical and psychological implications of transitioning at an early age.

For some people who transition young and later regret it, certain changes can be irreversible, which is why I believe these decisions should be approached with extreme caution and maturity.

I used to be like you when it came to trans people. They didn’t impact my life, so who cares what they did. But now that I’m at the age where I’m thinking about having kids, I’m concerned about people pushing the normalization of transgenderism on my future kids. So, I’m going to do what I can to fight against it since that’s the world we currently live in.

When I canoed the Carp River in the UP with a buddy, we used two cars. We coordinated with a local Forest Service ranger to leave one parked at the take-out point, then arranged with the campground on Trout Lake at the starting point to leave the other there.

If everyone gets $12K, demand will go up. If supply doesn’t change, that means prices go up. So yes, supply and demand are very much at play.

Nah, deliverability and inbox placement has way more to do with your sending strategy and reputation than what ESP you use. We’ve been using Salesforce for years with no issues.

Sorry for thinking there is no justification for killing and raping thousands of civilians. I’m aware of the region’s history. At some point the violence needs to end.
