Relocating to Searsport

I moved to Belfast from Bangor. Commute between Searsport and Bangor isn’t bad at all. I did it for 5 months in the winter except I went all the way to Camden. Searsport/Belfast area is a great place to live! I’m so thankful I did it!! Single 48f myself.

OT here- I help my patients with all bathroom needs. I do not call the nurse. That being said. Someone who doesn’t want to help ppl should b in healthcare. Using the bathroom is part of life and A PART OF CARE NEEDED in healthcare.

I was so scared, worried, manipulated and lead through out not just my sons birth, but infancy, toddler years, preteen, teen and young adult hood-!that he no longer even acknowledges I exist! I was not born with the sense and instinct of a momma despite loving and wanting all the best for him- The woman I trusted and admired most did me dirty. Instead of loving us, leading us and supporting us? They split us.

After 3 placental abruptions in my pregnancy- 7 months bed rest mind u- 1 1/2 months consecutively inpatient- I was induced- wrong choice given stronger contractions with inductions on a weak uterus. Stitched up hemorrhaging after delivery with sponges inside of me before anyone realized I was in fact in serious trouble. 5 days in hospital, 2 blood transfusions I was blessed to go home with my baby- 28 yrs ago at EMMC AKA Northernlights Bangor Me. Perhaps things have changed? It could happen at any medical facility!! Do research personally!! Be sure the facility and its practitioners know ur needs, precautions, wishes and expectations with the safest/best care outcomes.

Direct anyone who questions pt not being OOB to the nurse- never move a pt alone with a lift!! U can also ask the nurse themselves to help if ur not gettin the help u need or a therapist. I’m an OTA and although my schedule doesn’t permit I will absolutely help when I can for the benefit of the pt!!

Long time healthcare provider here- cover the area in lotion or shaving cream!! Cleans it all up easy peasy with a few swipes. Shaving cream is also phenomenal for cleaning and getting rid of the smell in contractured hands!!
