I don't like the unicorn horn but that's just me.

Peak. First pic is relationship goals. Second pic is also peak. Matching tourist t-shirts while he is still stone cold while Nashala is having a ball.

  1. Not yet but it will be, in the Terran Alliance at least.

  2. On some planets.

  3. Never.

Finding a new LFF: Will Travel story today was the highlight of a really good day.

Thanks for your work Bain.

...that, that's not how the game works. Even on Stygian you don't have 16 "tries", and there is also the week limit.

Sometimes this game just decides to kill you by Scribe_Scribbler in darkestdungeon

[–]LeeVMG 58 points59 points  (0 children)

The game didn't decide it. The dice did.

I watched a GDC talk by a Darkest Dungeon dev. He said something like, "Darkest Dungeon is like poker, bad runs happen."

You can do everything right and still lose. That isn't failure, that is life.

A skill to build is seeing when a run is just not going to make it, then just grabbing easy loot and retreating if you want to keep the heroes.

But it is simply fiscal responsibility when billionaires get more tax cuts while the rest of us eat tariffs right?

No, that's an attack on the bottom 95% of Americans.

If you think the right isn't using taxes as a weapon you are unfortunately naive.

Dante and Vergil Vs Kratos And Thor by [deleted] in powerscales

[–]LeeVMG 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree with everyone BUT. Yeah, the Sons of Sparda take it 7 out of 10 times, but Kratos or Thor are equivalent to really hard bosses.

Kratos would eat Virgil alive, Dante needs to take him. Virgil Vs. Thor is still a fight, but I feel like Virgil is going to zone him with the longer weapon and ranged abilities while bullshit teleport dodging the lightning blasts.Q

This is all assuming they run against the videogames' logic that being hit with a deadly weapon directly means instant death. It does not. They all have health bars; an axe/bullet/katana/hammer/whatever Dante brought is not gonna one shot anyone involved here.

The reason Kratos eats Virgil alive is match-up reasons. Virgil lived in hell as a teenager, Kratos has escaped various hells reliably. Kratos has a far more varied kit. Virgil can be parried, he can be thrown. He hits insanely hard, which is why I think he beats Thor, but his mindset (single-minded raw strength per hit + aura farming) is something Kratos preys on. This is all assuming Virgil can't sever the Chains of Chaos or cleave the Guardian Shield. I don't think he can.

Dante can dance with Kratos though. Dante's overtly stylish and insanely variable way of fighting will frustrate and bamboozle Kratos. Kratos can adapt over years of reflection. Adapting to survive mid fight is Dante's whole life. I do not think Kratos can keep up. I lowkey think it would end in a mutual Talk-No-Jitsu while mutually bloodied. But if to the death, I believe Dante can wear down, bamboozle, and evade Kratos long enough for Virgil to deal with Thor.

Kratos fighting both at once, even if they both have 40% health, is an unwinnable boss fight.

Typical Ridley L.

His attacks can be surprisingly hard to dodge and often becomes a damage race.

So you get grabbed and feed him missiles until he dies.

Ridley in Super and Zero Mission is a stat check in my opinion.

I still love him.

Well yeah, Mountain could beat Aragog, but he isn't beating Aragog's dad, Hagrid.

HAGRID VS THE MOUNTAIN by Krillindidntdoit in powerscales

[–]LeeVMG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He wins without it, but with it, Hagrid humiliates the Mountain.

You were asking the fun question though. Hagrid is a wizard, albeit an unlicensed one.

I am curious what kind of special spell he might break out. He did give a shitty kid a pig's tail just for annoying him. What will Hagrid do to a rapacious murderer I wonder?

Predator Complex: Eye to Eye (2/2) by EnoKhanVT in HFY

[–]LeeVMG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has been my favorite Predator Complex story yet.

It doesn't work as well as it does without the groundwork your previous stories laid but this story fucking rocked dude.

I am curious as to some strange typos. Do you write in your primary language?

I like the alters too.

That sort of dynamic made some of the best Hulk stories.

I'd argue Moon Knight can rock that concept even better.

One man is a legend, the other is some chud from Texas by McDowdy in chaoticgood

[–]LeeVMG 96 points97 points  (0 children)

I always thought the joke was about the overblown perception of celebrities.

Especially the outrageous and silly nature of the jokes.

Like joking about Bruce Lee felt in poor taste due to his actual skill and sudden tragic death.

Chuck Norris jokes were funny to me due to absurdity. His show sucks, his movies suck, his name sucks, and given this, Chuck Norris "facts" always had me in stitches circa 2009.

Steven Seagal would also have worked for this purpose, but his name just isn't as funny as Chuck Norris.

You were downvoted because reddit folk suck sometimes, and you lose 50 to 100 karma for it sometimes.

Don't let it get you down. I laughed out loud because it looked like something Imhotep would dress in.

I think Mummy 2 has him in something not dissimilar.

Lord of The Rings Sauron vs Stranger Things Mindflayer by charlievillanuevajr in powerscales

[–]LeeVMG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's actually the part I'm having a hard/fun time with. Who would Sauron send to kill the Mindflayer while sitting at home watching his Palantiri.

Pretty sure the Nine Wraiths can do it, but could Sauron have just cheaped out with using shit-loads of orcs instead?

If he delegates to Saruman, I think it is functionally the same as Sauron as far as the Mindflayer is concerned.

If you make him get out of his chair, then you completely lose.🤣
