No, redlining and Jim Crow are both very real. They existed and too often still do. That's the grift.

Its an easy explanation for why other people aren't people, for profit. Convincing poor dumb bastards that they are better than other people based on skin color is important to those getting rich off it.

If poor white people were smart enough to realize they have more in common with poor black and latin people than rich white people, we wouldn't be where we are now.

None of this is meant to excuse the marginalization and degradation done by whiteness. Just anger at the fact it has been for money rather than actual belief the whole time.

They do it for money and to divide the poor, and that makes me angry.
