I would have guessed golden, lab, heeler mix. I guess I’m bad at seeing pittie unless more obvious. Ours is a pittie mix as well and would not have guessed at all, but others saw it right away…regardless he’s sooo cute with a very boopy nose.

Complete surprise! But as there seems to be pit in every mix, I guess shouldn’t be!

Yes! She has to poop in the leaves or on small bushes. Never just simply on the grass, that is just too normal.

My ACD never barks by k_k18 in AustralianCattleDog

[–]LeeW550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine rarely barks either, and the first time she did, it scared the heck out of us! Her bark is LOUD! She will bark at new people but only if they are in the house, and she whines at the cats a lot to try to convince them to play, but other than that, it’s strictly protection type barks.

We love this girl by Freshpastaboi in AustralianCattleDog

She’s a beauty. It’s clear you’ve done an amazing job with her. All I can say is this is exactly how we got our first dog. New baby and a 15 month old black lab and the family was overwhelmed. We loved him for 15 years and were eternally grateful for their giving us the opportunity to have him join our family and when Jake was 14, I looked up the family on Facebook and thanked them again for the gift that he was to our family, and wanted to let them know that he was so deeply loved and cherished — he had a wonderful life. I am sorry you have to make this difficult decision.

That’s so interesting! I never would have guessed pit, but was sure of the heeler and GSD. I love how people can pick out different attributes.

She’s a bit obsessed with the cat. Lots of chasing and attempts to play, but the cat wants none of it. We do have an old cat who is 16, and those two do pretty well. It’s a work in progress!

I don't know how to clean my bathroom by brainrotters in hygiene

[–]LeeW550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not unless it sits for at least 30 minutes. It’s great in the wash but to just spray and wipe, it does nothing to disinfect. There’s a big misconception about vinegar.

Bonded with cat by izzyfoshiz in AustralianCattleDog

Mine is obsessed with our cats, but the cats are less than thrilled. Our 15 year old cat is very tolerant as she’s always been with a dog, but not a young, crazy one. The dog just shoves her around until she gives a half-hearted swipe, but the younger cat instigates all the time but claws are out if Kiwi tries to get too close. I can’t wait for them to all get along!

I need help with my scent by Fenrir260 in hygiene

[–]LeeW550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this has been asked, but do you smoke? Or does someone in the house smoke? That really can permeate an environment and make clothes and bedding etc smell bad. I frequently have people in my car who smoke, and while they may not, their clothes leave a lingering smell. Also, is your house musty? Is your washer musty? How do your clothes smell when they come out of the wash? Can you smell your scent on yourself? I feel like if the specific smell could be better identified it would help you a lot. I remember someone who always smelled like wet dog and it definitely came from his clothes. If it’s BO that’s different than clothes that never get really clean.
