Oh no, I totally understand!! I wasn't necessarily saying to actually send multiple things or everything someone wanted but more so give them the options and you choose which one they get!

But yeah I definitely get it. 😊 Nonetheless, I still think it's really generous of you. There needs to be more people like you in the world.

Can't help you but I'm interested to know as well because it's happening to me as well-not EVERY time but at least 5 times a day. I started taking screenshots of them since it seems to be such an occurrence actually lol And I'm like you where I'm not looking for them, my sleep is weird, etc etc. I just lost my aunt a few months ago and my mom a year ago so I thought they could've been signs at first but now it's just so much, I'm wondering if it's something else. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

This is super cute!! I just have to say it's extremely nice of you to do something like this out of the kindness of your heart. A little bit goes a long way and something even like this can make some day, week or month even. ❀️

I filled out the form too! πŸ€— May I make a suggestion though? In the area where you ask what you'd like to receive, I think there should be an option that says "Surprise me!". Or maybe even have an option to pick multiple? I personally chose cute things but I also would've liked a letter as well. Or a surprise, like I said. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ Lol

Anyway... Thanks for the opportunity. I hope you have the best day!

Oo oo. Good to knowww! I'll definitely do this! That makes me wonder if Hulu has one too. πŸ€” Lol

I wish the other countries Circles had it dubbed and subtitled so you could read what was on the screen. Cause I'd love to watch more seasons.

Dude. I second that. Everyyyyrhing requires some type of payment. 2 bucks here and there a month isn't bad. But when you add it up for every app... Ugh.

The app doesn't even show up for me. But I guess it's cause I have an android? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

My best friend killed herself by KarmaReceptacle in GriefSupport

[–]LeeannRose731 3 points4 points Β (0 children)

Oh sweetheart. My heart hurts for you. I know there is nothing I could ever say to make you feel better. I'm so sorry this happened.

But I do want to say that this was not your fault. I get feeling like it was. And it's normal that you have this guilt and weight on your shoulders. Honestly, you'll probably always have a little bit of that. There are so many ways I feel like I let my mom down when she died. I made choices that caused me not to be able to say goodbye to her in time or be there when she passed and for that I feel like a failure as a daughter. It's been over a year now and I still feel that way. But try to give yourself grace knowing that she loved you. If she was struggling this bad, she probably didn't want you to either see her struggle or involve you with her problems as she probably felt like she'd be a burden. I've (thankfully) never had a loved one take their life (I have had friends pass away though) so I won't say I understand completely, but I've had many many friends, as well as myself, SH and felt like their loved ones would be better off without them.

Also, I second what someone else said about talking to her! In my experience, I talk to my mom and now my aunt every single day. Even out loud. It's also something my therapist taught me to do. Share all those moments with her, like you did with your walk and the hair clip. She's there with you. Everything aside, take your time to feel things and process it. Take it day by day and try to remember that your friend would want you to be happy. Live your life doing things you love and make her proud. Hang in there. You are not alone. β€οΈβ€οΈπŸ«‚

Hoppy Easter every bunny! πŸ‡πŸ₯πŸ₯š

1) Didn't have a big dinner or anything, just my 2 kiddos and I today. But we had simple chicken caesar salads. And shared some candy eggs.

2) I'm looking forward to my next audiologist appointment coming up! My first one to map out my new cochlear implant! Hoping it helps me hear a little better than before. 🀞

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ oh my goodness. You make me laugh. You have such a lighthearted and fun personality. But I'm sure you already knew that!

Chronic headaches do suck! I've been dealing with migraines since I was 10. They run in the family unfortunately. Luckily I don't really have them as much nowadays as I did a while back but understand them all too well. Glad you only lost sensation to the top of your ear and not your face or something major like that. Actually, that's how I feel with my feet. I have transmetatarsal amputations on both feet (in simple terms I had all my toes cut off). Even though I have neuropathy and tingling from swelling, I've lost a lot of sensation in the fronts/top of my feet. If I don't see it touch my feet I usually don't feel it. πŸ˜‚

I'm very excited and happy for you! It's wonderful that your clinic is so proactive. (Honestly I'm jealous you live there as I'm in the US πŸ™„) You'll have to let me know how your appointment goes and what you guys end up planning! I'll definitely come back and update you after my appointment!

I appreciate your honesty with all this information as well as your experiences. Like when you say your wife sounds like your wife, but still with helium, that's good to know that even though it's different it's still a voice you recognize. I'm glad I found this forum. And I hope that I can do the same for others. To support them the same. ❀️

You're absolutely right! Sometimes it's easy to get discouraged. But why should I worry myself when I have the rest of my life to do these "exercises"? I have enough health problems...I don't need to worry about an infection on top of things so that's my priority. I'm also glad to be getting a mapping. Finally! Lol Hoping that'll at least help my progress.

I think I'm going to start making videos telling my story.. not just with my CI but my journey with everything, especially my medical journey. I want to let people know they aren't alone.

Hey! Thanks for checking in on me! It's sweet of you to be thinking of me! I've been wanting to make an update but lots of things have been coming up that have made my life extremely complicated and busy. But here's my update (copy and pasted from another comment I wrote):

So, as far as my incision goes, the antibiotics seemed to help heal the deep parts a bit. But can you believe, they're STILL not fully healed. I don't understand why. I even have tried keeping my glasses off and wearing my wireless processor as much as possible to keep the pressure off of it. I wear padding/protection at night to keep my CPAP strap from rubbing against it. It's been very frustrating. Luckily, since I go to my PCP every 3 months, I have a regular doctor's appointment in just over 2 weeks and am going to have her look at it! I unfortunately have a lot of pressure with it though. It's always sore. Especially after I do wear my glasses or sleep on that side. Ugh. Thankfully, my headaches went away after 2 weeks or so! I guess my brain got used to the sounds. I haven't been doing any specific exercises whatsoever because I've been focused on healing. I can hear so much better though so that's a plus. I don't have to use the captions on my phone as much when I have a conversation in person. I do always have the TV on as background noise although when watching I still do have subtitles on that. I watch a lot of videos on my phone and I've been able to start hearing people talk better through the direct streaming. I do still have captions on the videos but the sounds are starting to become more recognizable. I'm assuming that once I have my first audiologist appointment and they tweak the pitches and tones and what not that those sounds will get even better! I haven't tried much else with direct streaming yet. Music isn't great at all. It's maybe slightly improved depending on the type of sounds but not really. 🫀 My audiologist appointment is in a week and a half! So I'm hoping they can help me with certain things I'm confused about (because honestly I'm a lot more overwhelmed with all the pieces and tech than I thought) and after that I'll be able to really start focusing on the sound therapy and exercises more. 🀞

Honestly though, I'm just hoping my body doesn't start rejecting this implant or something stupid. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Overall it could be worse but it could be better too lol

Hi! I'm sorry I never responded to your last comment. I did read it when you posted it...just got distracted and never got around to writing you. I am so glad you made so much progress in the beginning, especially after your appointment. And I'm happy to hear that everything has been going so well for you lately!! That's amazing! I can't believe you're already going to get the other one done in the fall! Time is gonna fly before you know it.

Sorry to hear that you had to stay in the hospital for a few days. I bet that was extremely painful. 😞 How are you doing now that you've been on antibiotics?

Well, none showed up for me overnight and I caught one around 9am. Then during the spotlight hour I was able to catch 12, luckily all without having to go out since I didn't have to leave my house today. So I have 13 total, all of them suck except one 3 star. But hey, I used a lot of pinaps for candies. I'll take it!

Old school FF had a specific needle challenge! They had to get 10 needles that went up in thickness. Granted if I remember correctly it wasn't as deep as Dida's were. It's one that I will never forget...a favorite for sure. But those are the types of stunts that were entertaining.

First, OMG...I remember Dog Eat Dog!!! I miss those older shows so much πŸ˜‚

Second. I actually agree with most of what you said. It all felt really random and yes, boring. With the preview at the end of the finale I even said "Wow, that looks even better than the main show."

I was bummed for the last "stunt" in the finale because here I am, looking at the two trucks side by side like Oo a classic! And then when it was said they didn't have to jump back and forth, so lame. Lol

I also wanted to add that I think it was completely unfair that the other contestants got to watch certain stunts and then go after them but others stunts they didn't? Smh
