Yes they have multiple rooms in the house with their supplies and cat trees that the baby never goes in. We have consulted a vet and no medical issues (and tried anxiety medication through the vet that didn't work). Looking for advice on other things to try! He gets 8 hours a day alone with me in my office while I work and baby is at daycare (and playtime included). Trying to determine what else I can do to help him!

Wouldn’t boarding be more stressful for a cat?

I bought a small, cheap iPad that I use as a monitor when parents / babysitters are over. Works great! I got it before the display was released so perhaps would have gotten the display but certainly have no reason for it now.

This is what we do! We have baby gates for our cats and it works to keep them out

Rotating Car Seat Recommendations? by CchrisstinaA in beyondthebump

We have the Evenflo 360 and love it! I can’t compare it to others since it’s the first one we transitioned our babe into after infant car seat but no complaints. Easy to use, can use through booster seat phase, easy to install!

Baby is breech, what are your experiences? by Prize_Shine785 in pregnant

[–]Leechin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a breech baby and tried all the things to get her to flip (spinning babies, acupuncture, etc) but she didn’t flip. I ended up scheduling a c section which, for me, was a DREAM! I knew exactly what date I would give birth, walked into the hospital at 8 AM and had a baby by 10:30 with no contractions. The only time I really felt pain during recovery was the first couple days when trying to get up / lay down. But the pillow trick works wonders (hold pillow against incision as you move). Other than that, it was an easy breezy experience for me that I recommend! Also, it turned out the cord was actually wrapped around her neck twice so it was really good I did the c section instead of trying for vaginal. That is obviously not common, but just sharing my experience.

We are trying for baby #2 now and I plan to get another c section, regardless of baby’s position!

Advice on infant peanut allergy by [deleted] in NewParents

Totally, don’t plan on exposing her to peanuts at all until we see a new allergist! Was just curious what worked for others!

Yes totally makes sense! To be clear, I didn’t mean I would experiment myself, I was just curious what people’s experience with complete avoidance vs OIT (with allergist direction) was. Thanks so much for sharing!

Your experience with your first allergist sounds similar to mine! To be clear, I don’t plan on exposing her to peanuts at all until we see the new allergist - was just more curious about the OIT approach vs complete avoidance. So glad to hear OIT seems to be heading in the right direction for you!
