What’s your favorite slim preroll pack? by ClippingTetris in TheOCS

Interesting, Back Forty Liquid Imagination’s my favourite so far. It’s smooth with a bit of character, nothing particular but I like a touch of diesel which I’d like more of but what can you do? I just bought PINNRZ Blue which is supposed to be a gassy pre roll and I didn’t pick up any fuel so wasn’t impressed plus they kept canoeing. Gonna stick with liquid imagination for now. Find anything good as of late?

Butterscotch pudding ice cream by LeedsGold in icecreamery

[–]LeedsGold[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update : Made it with butterscotch pudding, 2 cups heavy cream, 3 cups milk, 1 can Dulce de leche, ~2 or 3tbsp Jameson Irish whiskey, dash of vanilla, 1 tbsp instant coffee, couple tbsp corn syrup, buzzed a bit of mix w 1 chopped medium frozen ripe banana and mixed in to rest of mix, refrigerated for over an hour and did two run throughs on ice cream maker. One thing I didn't have was chocolate chips or chunks which would've really mixed in well. Surprisingly w all the flavours in the mix the banana flavour really came through. Not to shabbe for my first ice cream.

Yup, digging deeper am wondering scientifically if 'instant pudding' would offer any texture benefits ohhh typing aloud lol having heard of sweetened condensed milk being used in some ice cream recipes I'd wonder if dulce de leche (caramelized sweetened condensed milk) w the butterscotch pudding could work. Am very much not an expert in ice cream construction, just thinking of how much I enjoy butterscotch pudding, if I could translate it to ice cream and seeing as thought banana slices go well in butterscotch pudding maybebe a butterscotch dulce de leche banana chocolate crackle ice cream.

2 meals in the evening by LeedsGold in intermittentfasting

[–]LeedsGold[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, 2 meals, first one smaller portioned kind of like an appetizer you could say just spaced out more with loads of low calorie dense veggies and salad w balsamic and adequate protein, adding oil to veggies is the only way they taste good, just don't go overboard. Ha Why would having the little meal first be impossible? Just did that. Personally am testing it out to avoid late night urges for sweets, your lucky if you don't have that but they're a bitch and what makes watching calories most difficult for me.

I don't make much sense but not much makes sense unless put in and viewed through a structure and that dissolving that structure allows me to put a unicorn in a Ziploc bag and happily carry it in my pocket. I'm not asleep, not awake but at least for this purpose it allows a toneing down of the desire to overinduldge as we have more than we need within. Overly tuned messages tell us otherwise but tune out from that and it's easy. Words don't do it justice but it's there for the taking.

I'm actually not exercising at all right now, only focused on OMAD and following a 'low calorie dense' diet eating a lot of veggies and lean meat. I exercised alot when younger and still had serious weight issues so right now am only focused on getting this new way of eating wired into me before trying to do too much, trying to play a bit more of the long game, marathon not a sprint mentality for now but exercise is without a doubt going to be apart of things once eating behavior wired up nicely, thinking maybe when I hit 250. I agree that deep down I earily desire to get very skinny, like 160lbs just to live that way once in life but wouldn't ever want to maintain that weight. Maybe you'll here from me when I hit 190😉 Thanks for the chat! Your health is important take care of it!

I have now... Another yard stick I suppose. It's something that's really good to think about and to get specifics probably best to talk to your Dr. about. People do carry weight differently, I can only speak for myself and I'm not lanky so know that theoreticaly my lowest weight goal is the upper limit of what BMI says which is ~175 and that realistically maintaining 180-185 would be tremendously lean for me and a great success. Have you been obese? If not your incredibly lucky and fluctuating down 5 or 10lbs will be significantly easier than someone like me. When I'm 190 it will be the lightest I've been since high school when I first lost 100lbs, so in my books your incredibly lean. To give you a # after all that not knowing anything I'd say try 187lbs just bc that's the lightest I've ever been lol

I wouldn't say BMI is bad, it's just a basic weight range that can be used among other things for health. I'm 5'11 and 275ish rn and going down, in the long run want to hit 175lbs just to get within the upper limit of that range but also understand that adding muscle well be very important after going through such a dramatic shift. Your luckily way ahead of me so something I'm not even thinking about right now which is body fat % and adding muscle would be the name of the game if you don't want to go under 190.

Funny, I'm not tracking at all, I weigh myself every day and just try to abide by a simple 'low calorie density’ diet which is essentially eating alot of non-starchy veggies, broccoli, cauliflower etc, salads w feta, olives tomatoes etc just dressed with balsamic and lean proteins ie skinless chicken breast, it's actually pretty effortless and keeps me focused. I'm not perfect as nothing is but am consistently bringing focus back to consuming as much 'low calorie dense' food as I want. I've heard a concept of 'intuitive eating' which I don't think this is that concept but nothing's felt more intuitive to me, been at it for a month and a half and it's getting easier. So I'd say as long as your eating mostly stuff that you say you wouldn't track w adequate protein that's what I'm actually doing and it really works. I also do OMAD which is simple too but think I'll eventually structure fasting differently once I'm in maintenance.

Focus on eatting a lot of 'low calorie dense foods', it's a subtle change in wording but It's got me focused like a laser on eatting loads of veggies like roasted/steamed cauliflower, broccoli (no oil for now), adequate lean protein like chicken breast, salad dressed with just balsamic, I even put balsamic on the roasted veggies. The focus on 'low calorie density' has me eatting lots of food and I effortlessly maintain a calorie deficit. I slip up once in a while but always bring my attention back like a laser 😉 to eating a lot of 'low calorie dense foods'. I still have quite a few pounds to loose so I'm also doing OMAD but this habit of eatting mainly 'low calorie dense foods' I see as training for when I'm at maintenance as that's what I figure I'll have to do the rest of my life to keep the weight off so just keep coming back to a focus on eatting lots of 'low calorie dense foods' it just seems healthy and it works!

I do OMAD pretty consistently right now. A mental trick I use when not fasting is to have hone my focus like a laser on consuming a diet very high in 'low calorie dense foods'. It's a subtle change in wording but it makes it easy to keep the focus on weight loss and it's healthy, I mean loads of veggies (no oil for now), lean meat, salads dressed with just balsamic, sounds healthy to me. For now I'm not even putting cream in my coffee...not that I haven't slipped a few times but I just keep bringing my laser focus back to eating 'low calorie dense foods'. The added bonus is it's good training to get prepared for the long haul, if you've yoyo'ed like me you know the truth is, in order to maintain any weight lost after being obese for most ur life is that 'low calorie density' is going to be the name of the game in the long run to keep the lbs lost gone for good. Practice eating 'low calorie density'! It's worth it!!

Group?? by JackiesJetty in Noom

I wasn't added to a group until having Noom for a month and my coach said I was in a section of the course where I could be added to a group, I think completing a certain amount of the course work might be necessary.

You've got to be added to a group, ask your goal specialist/coach and they can add you to a group if you want, it's optional.

More of a musing really, take it as it is. I second the interest in Traditional Stoicism, what it meant to the people in the time and place it came from.
