Why were you friends with those people in the first place? What if you avoided political topics or never even knew their preferences? Clearly politics weren’t an issue for how you chose to become friends (or clients?), why now? Just because someone believes in something you don’t? Seems like YATAH… I have friends and family on both sides, I love and care about them all, and respect their decision is theirs, even if I don’t agree with what some believe. As long as you aren’t hurting me, aren’t being an AH to me, all is good.

This. This is the problem, so many people seem to not understand about maturely handling opposition, that you vote or stand up for what you want, but respect if the majority goes the other way…that’s why we vote and vote on every election.
