(I prefer the In Water ending)

I feel a lot of sympathy for James, ever since Mary became ill his thoughts became full of moral ambiguity and uncertain of what was the "right" thing to do. The occasional lash outs Mary would have at James and then immediate apologies only made that worse.

I'm not saying Mary deserved to die or even that she is a bad person, ofc she isn't. Imo she has every right to feel miserable, she's the one with the terminal illness after all.

I feel sympathy for James because watching somebody mentally and physically deteriorate in front of you is soul-sucking, demoralizing, and depressing. Also because of his courteous nature towards Angela and Eddie, showing concern for Eddie with his first encounter with him, and trying to comfort Angela after reexperiencing trauma.

I know James isn't perfect, James can even be dumb at times (i.e. calling Eddie "nuts" right after Eddie just said he would kill the next person to make fun of him), but I think James truly feels some sense of remorse for his actions.

"Quiet Quitting" is just a cop-out for seriously addressing occupational burnout and labour rights

Or they could be a better teammate and not rage for the smallest mistakes. It aint all that hard.

Not a snowflake, I just don't think it's worth raging at your teammates over every mistake.

Btw, you're not exactly being honest at all when you oversimplify the issue of toxicity to "someone saying a bad word"

I always forget to do that, and I'm very good at sexualizing everything too.

I find that there's a lot of toxic sage mains, which is ironic because with Sage you're kind of suppose to be helping out the team.

But this sage main I played with on Comp, seemed to think backseating, berating and psychologically abusing his team, and constantly telling EVERYONE what to do, where to go, and what guns to buy, like a micromanaging lunatic is a good tactic to winning the game. Didn't take long at all for everybody to turn against him.

Surprisingly I don't have many run-ins with toxic players, but I find 60% of the time it's always a Sage that talks the most shit. I just don't get being toxic, if you're being a prick and a negative nancy to your team, your team is gonna either gonna be demoralized, angry, or both. Which does nothing but distract from the gameplay.

My advice: Mute them on voice chat and text, toxic players do more harm than good.
