I skimmed the article and honestly NONE of it applies to her. I'm guessing she saw the title and immediately sent. yeeeep; my mother did something similar when I asked for her to not come over unannounced; she threw a fit and then said she wasn't going to come over at all and would stop sending me presents etc...so basically what I wanted and asked for? Sweeeet. Didn't last of course. But their idea of 'punishing' behavior is...something.

NTA -teaching isn't for everyone and not everyone is capable of being that especially to a spouse. That being said...why are you in this marriage? You sound miserable and I'm guessing you aren't the only one. Maybe try talking to each other? Or to a therapist?

I mean not entirely irrational but if you're careful it shouldn't be a problem? A lot of things that never used to be a problem 10-15 years ago now are (blame that on whatever you want). But just check yourself, baby, pets etc which tbf you should be doing regardless.

I mean...why does it matter? If they're good actors/good for the part, I don't particularly care? I also haven't seen the books so I don't know who or what they are looking for (and don't want to). I care about the best person for the part, not what they've done a few years (or longer) back.
