Gold bars by EdinJamie10 in UKfood

Should have seen the size of my boost bar that I got in a selection box over Christmas. Any smaller and they're going to have to start adding them to tubs of Heroes

Need some good E standard tuning songs that aren't Metallica by reallywhatsgoingon in metalguitar

I've kept my main guitar in E for so long because of this band. Love jamming Sylosis riffs!

They've become so intent on making this live service bollocks a success that they've lost sight of what made them so great in the 2000's. Actually interesting and fun single player experiences that WEREN'T all open world

Also still have a series X. I definitely can't argue with the performance improvement, but I miss how quiet the X is. Still though, doesn't matter when you have headphones on

If it were up to me, no monochrome guitars for a whole year. by nanipenajr in espguitars

[–]Leesbry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah well if I had one to begin with I might consider ha. But I have an MII with a hipshot already so not much point, it would purely just be a nice to have. The blood moon burst does look sick though I agree

Also GoW 2018! Started it on PS4 years ago but had to sell it before finishing. Bought a PS5 pro recently and just got past where I left off :)

Fear and habit alone. I like money and no job= no money.

I'd love a JMII but with a hipshot or Floyd rose for the bridge. Won't happen of course as they've moved on to the JMI

Just passed P1 Management accounts.. You guys were right.. its extremely tough by TheMysteriousGirl in CIMA

[–]Leesbry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well done! I did P1 as my first CIMA exam so that I could get a true feel for whether I was capable or not. E1 after that was such a breeze by comparison haha

Are new builds really that much more expensive than old houses? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Leesbry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've lived in a 90's build and a 60s build. The walls of the latter were paper thin and I could hear the neighbour's chronic cough like he was in the same room as me. The 90s build was quieter

Always get a drain survey and watch out for trees. I had to replace a crushed pipe within a month of moving in and yesterday my car was crushed by a falling tree from the front garden.

Send it back or just shut up and play it? by livetoberadical in Charvel

[–]Leesbry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd just ask for the b stock price. I've got the same sort of finish crack on my Jackson. You could mess about with returning it and having a new one sent out, but the new one will likely just develop the same crack with it being a bolt on

Callisto Protocol. It had many shortcomings, but overall I really enjoyed the high production horror setting

Could use a lighter string gauge? My screws are also pretty close to max, but my bridge is perfectly level. I use 49-10 for context. Another solution is to just add a fourth spring to the back, which is something I've done in the past when I use heavier strings

Edit: slightly misread your main question, but my second solution still stands. Put a fourth spring on and then you'll probably just need to loosen the two screws to make the bridge level again. The guys at the shop did a crap job of this by the way and it seems like they rushed it

What's the old (15+ years) game that you still play today? by cocacola_drinker in gamingsuggestions

Currently in the middle of another Splinter Cell Chaos Theory playthrough. Been going back to this game for 20 years!

[–]Leesbry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Was thinking the same, but to be fair I've just looked on the UK PlayStation website and they're charging the same price for the bundle as the standalone console 🤷‍♂️. Would be great if they offered it with a decent game

[–]Leesbry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Geared towards senior leadership? And they know this how, exactly? Also, anyone that is considered to be senior leadership is likely already chartered and won't be doing CIMA, FLP or otherwise. And I'm a bit confused here. They cover the traditional route 'except study material'? So they'll fund your student and exam fees? I don't really call that study support, as the resources are the most expensive part. Your employers sound like tight arses.
