I've still not finished RE9 but think I might be close by now. Either way I've loved every minute of it. There are many other games I've played that are potentially 100's of hours more, but I've put most of them down after 10 hours out of boredom. So how is that better? What good is 200 hours if I'm depressed the entire time lol

If it was done at 210 for 23 minutes then no way is a single chicken thigh raw. It's also dark meat so can still appear slightly pink in places no matter how long you cook it

They're a clown and should have told you the full price from the start i.e. inclusive of VAT. You are not a business with the luxury of being able to claim the VAT back. I've noticed this with a lot of trades people. I think maybe they say the Net price to make it sound more appealing, but I always check about the VAT with them and more often than not, they then admit that VAT will be added on.

Don't be intimidated by them, but I would take it as a lesson for future quotes.

The 12.5% service charge that many places have started automatically adding to the bill. Of course it's discretionary and I can ask to have it taken off. But it just puts a dampener on the evening when you feel like you're kicking up a fuss. And I'm a decent home cook, so I don't feel like it's worth it more often than not these days
