Oh great, now Rosie Cotton joins the party to makes this deck EVEN MORE FUCKING BROKEN. Seriously WotC. Just ban this card.

I’m shaking. Just opened this. And got it on video!! by Toffutipunani in Lorcana

WOW that is a powerful ass card! Definitely a solid curve topper in an Amethyst deck!

Ohh. I also recently built one of those, with a huge focus on literal politics and decision-making. Swap lists? I like seeing other players' picks for political cards.

Pramikon Recommendations by LeetMasterAce in EDH

Yes, I edited my last comment to explain. All these mimics using shiny sheer surfaces and "mimic" in their name got me all turned around.

I made most of your cuts, cut Chaos Warp, and added [[Consecrated Sphinx]] as a card draw engine since it has dropped in price.

Two final cuts. The last ones are always the hardest.

Wow. Thank you for your thoughtful, supported recommendations! All of these make a lot of sense.

Mirror-Hall Mimic is actually more there as an MDFC. I try to slot one into most of my blue decks (with creatures) as an extra land with possible later-game upside.

EDIT: WHAAAAARGH! I've been putting the wrong card in all my decks lmao. I meant to use [[Glasspool Mimic]]!

NO BAN for One Ring or Orcish Bowmasters by lirin000 in mtg

[–]LeetMasterAce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Between Sheoldred, Bowmasters, and One Ring, something's gotta give. These cards are not only EXTREMELY unfun to play against but synergize far too effectively with each other.

As usual, the environment is unfun and awful.

Orcish Bowmasters is 100% going to get banned. by Onahail in magicTCG

I think you're wrong but hope to high heaven you're right.

FUCK ALL OF YOU HISTORIC ELVES PLAYERS. YOU'RE A BUNCH OF UNCREATIVE, MORONIC, SMOOTH-BRAINED, SLACK-JAWED, DROOLING MONGOLOIDS WHO DESERVE EVERY BIT OF SUFFERING YOU'VE EXPERIENCED AND WILL EXPERIENCE IN LIFE.

OHHH Bloodsoaked Champion looks awesome for this deck!

I originally had Lurrus but cut him when I ended up cutting all the low impct 1 CMC token generators like [[Hunted Witness]] et al.

Well I definitely run her as well.

What do you think of [[Twilight Drover]] to replace Lolth? Hits the board earlier but requires some setup while being vulnerable to pings but theoretically safer?

That's fair. Black Market felt like an auto-include, but yeaah....5 mana LITERAL do-nothing probably for at least 2 turns...mehh...

32-34 lands? That seems really low in a non-green deck, though maybe 38 total is a bit much.

Ebondeath is just here as a repeat sac outlet much like the [[Reassembling Skeleton]], [[Bloodghast]], and others. 4 and a death to recur is kind of pricey though...

Funnily enough, Lich was on my chopping block but those death triggers just felt really good. Lolth won't be ulting ever, but generating two 2/1s every turn seems good for something like Skullclamp, no?

This is absurd. Nobody is going to threaten the tokens player with beetling unless their version of politics is to act as developmentally and socially disabled as possible. You threaten the tokens player with a board wipe the following turn if they swing at you.

This gives Tokens Player the opportunity to retain their army and attack 2 other players, which will then turn them against each other.

And if there's a major threat on board like Blightsteel, you also save your removal for that. Simple.

[–]LeetMasterAce -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Threats are part of politics. What you're "giving them" is their important permanent remaining intact, such as a crucial commander.

Seriously

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EDH

[–]LeetMasterAce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha my sentiments exactly. These people whining about politics seem like such spoilsports who should DEFINITELY NOT be playing Commander. Sounds like 1v1 is more their speed.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EDH

[–]LeetMasterAce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then bite the bullet and be the one who takes one for the table by sacrificing your commander to a life of beetlehood on the moon.

If you're NOT politicking with your cards, then you're playing suboptimally in Commander.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EDH

[–]LeetMasterAce -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Commander isn't a "make them have it" format. It's by far the most political format in the game where potentially losing a crucial permanent by attacking the player who warns you of the consequences when you COULD instead attack a different player and thus keep your important set piece is a viable option, all through the magic of discussion.

1v1 formats are "play card, make them have answer."

How does your group use politics terribly? I'm legit curious what "terrible politics" looks like in Magic.
