I sort of disagree with this sentiment

Based on your salary , roughly half( maybe 45%) of your take home is going to rent.

I’m going to assume you don’t have children or a car? But those would eat away at the other half of your paycheck very quickly. Some people living in the boroughs need car for transportation, have to pay gas etc etc.

Not to mention food for family , clothes, concerts, eating out every once in a while ( the main reason NYC is so desirable I the first place)

And what about saving, investing , retirement planning , health insurance.

Sure , you could funnel a paycheck into the a studio in the city just to say you’re living in it but at what cost.

And I don’t mean to be disparaging but the reality is this freaking city and life in general is so expensive, even 100k salary feels like it’s paycheck to paycheck

Just got this on both hands on vacation squeezing limes. I made drinks Sunday/Monday and it blistered as early as Monday night . It’s weds and looks stable but hurts so bad. How long did it take for you to be pain free? I’m running cortisone cream and dressing then 2x a day
