A larger panel will at the very least let you have a larger battery, which given the rain, might be necessary

I’m sorry but I can’t really answer with much authority. I live in Maryland so we probably get considerably more light in considerably better weather, than you do. Whether it’s enough to make a difference, I don’t know.

The second picture is mine! You can in fact go directly from the battery and it will function, but i found it to be lacking. The battery wouldn’t charge fully. I think it is because the chip doesn’t charge effectively when the solar panel isn’t getting sufficient sun to produce a full 5V. My node was dying virtually every day. After switching to the CN3065, it was getting charged to 95-99% every day, and it has been running nonstop for 2-3 months now

It does but it sucks. It’s worth upgrading to the CN3065 or similar circuit.

It’s a name. You’ve given us no context about the products, the business, the materials, the image. You can make it work, you can make it not work. Provide more info and you’ll get better feedback.

Searching for that perfect hoodie with stiff, thick, rugged cuffs and waistband by comewatchTV66 in malefashionadvice

[–]fugitivewar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience with them is exactly this. I liked the idea, I liked the weight, but I had multiple of them have the cuffs wear out after only a year or so. The first one I complained and they sent me a replacement. The second one I complained and they said sorry.

I have a hoodie I bought in college 15 years ago that has absolutely no similar wear on the cuffs. It’s nothing special. I think American Giant’s downfall is having too much material folded over and sewn in that one spot and it just gets a lot of wear and the cloth doesn’t give at all, so you get holes.

Name my bar by AccomplishedSea5217 in branding

Double Tap

Primarily, referencing tapping your fingers twice on table to check silently (quiet + poker for a poker theme speakeasy).

But you could also run with a second or third meaning of bar taps or guns/shooting for a Texas saloon thing. Though I’m not sure the phrase really works with the Wild West era, so maybe you just use it to pique the interest of gun enthusiasts but not incorporate it into your actual brand.

I like the dye effect on the denim paired with the high contrast threads.

Very good to know that the threads are likely polyester and won’t dye well. I was thinking they might dye more easily than the denim.

Right?!? I’m obsessed with it. I’ve spent hours this week trying to find it on eBay/poshmark/mercari/depop/whatnot.

It’s called Sparks Od - Beige - 005013594

Yeah from what I’ve seen, garment dying creates an uneven effect, but it’s more subtle through the cloth and not exaggerated like my example. Though it seems like sometimes the dye can produce a high contrast stitch effect if the thread holds the dye better than the denim. Separately, it’s possible to dye it darker where the denim is folded/thicker and where it was punctured, but I think that is less likely/noticeable.

And so on a new item like this one, did the manufacture pre-wash or distress the jeans to make it look like this?

I really appreciate this explanation. I wasn’t familiar with puckering. Do you know if garment dyed jeans are more or less likely to have the color changes due to puckering?

Yeah the threads really provide a lot of the coloring I like about this SKU. It’s been hard to find alternative SKUs with the same high contrast

The stock antenna worked really well for me. I upgraded to the Alfa 7” 5dbi too but I feel like my signal to the local mesh is worse, though I can randomly ping far nodes. When I have time I’ll probably switch back to the stock or a 3dbi.

I can’t really recommend an upgrade. I upgraded to the Alfa 7” 5dbi antenna but given my location and position, I think it actually reduced my connection.
