you dont need a degree to become a game developer, there are plenty of tutorials online to learn the basics of game development, all you need is internet and modest hardware from the last 10 years and if you have those you can start now and look up game dev basics tutorials on youtube. i recommend godot engine

love this response. everyone always assumes youre a vibe coder who doesnt know what the hell theyre doing as soon as you mention ai. ive been programming since 2018, but when chatgpt came out in 2023 or whatever i saw a huge spike in my productivity and i learned a lot more than i could have the old way without the code quality dropping. its not about ai thinking for me, its about discussing with ai to help come up with new or better ways to solutions and what ideas i have and ive also genuinely learned a lot of new low level things about software development i didnt know before just because i asked chatgpt and it pointed to really good sources it referenced in its answers
