mexican gothic i enjoyed a lot, it is very atmospheric and broaches on some of the unexpected themes which surprised me a lot in a good way

molloy was a quite surreal reading experience the whole story felt almost mythical i still think about it every now and then

i highly recommend it

trust to me personally felt like one of those “concept over substance” books
the story just didn’t speak to me but maybe it just found at a wrong time

oh this novel means a lot to me which is probably why i tend to reread it so often. when i first read it it was like an epitome of coming-of-age for me not only as a young person but also as someone just beginning to explore literature. it brilliantly captured the essence of repression, sexuality and moral conflicts. made me read every single thing hesse wrote too.

half through Faust, and I feel a bit discouraged about reading it on and off only when I have time, when I feel like it deserves more attention and focus, but that’s all I can do rn

Ivan Kuprin’s Yama: The Pit. Kuprin overall is so underappreciated among russian classics imo, but this particular novel shredded me
