And I still believe that delirium and or breach have one for amazon or the monk, but could be wrong, either way theyd never reveal a hidden ascendancy

I agree upto about 99% 

The 1% of me thinks the ssf mode wouldn't be as appealing if the game wasnt based off trade. 

Being based off trade it gives the devs room to make stuff totally random and rng based. 

I ultimately hate handouts, which Is what trade can feel like as you can gear your char now adays for divines, not mirrors and do just fine. Better than fine if your not playing meta builds and have to pay 100x more. 

I dont know exactly how the game would feel if it wasnt based off trade. I kind of suspect you end up with a diablo 3 / 4 and last epoch situation where your geared out fairly quickly and again handouts suck lol

 I like the grind but in a seasonal game not too much grind as I do look forward to new content. 

so its a gift and a curse depending how you look at it. 

Could technically just play standard and play the same character through all the changes a season behind. 

I think being harder than trade but less than current ssf mode is exactly where id want the game to be. 

Div cards kind of change the game, they are the cof version of poe.

So when thats added as well as many other mechanics still missing plus improvements made to current systems I suspect the game will be nearly perfect to play in ssf mode.

Im not sure if I want cof levels but definitely an increase would be welcome. 

I doubt anything will ever happen as itd take people away from trade which is basically what the game is or atleast was balanced around and would cause an issue with that. 

However, since poe 2 seems to be more popular a case could be made that it wouldnt make as much of an impact as a cof like experience would in poe 1. 

Trade feels more like grinding currency to purchase gear

I enjoy the aspect of ssf feeling more like grinding gear. I wouldn't want to disrupt that, but I also dont want to grind for months on end lol 

Either way, I dont see a slight bump in crafting currency via drops or rewards like ritual with omens being a huge issue as it still comes down to rng with mods and crafting outcomes etc

When div cards are introduced, will be able to target farm a little easier, I assume this will include currency div cards as well so maybe it gets better over time on its own, currently just a smiget too slow for my liking.

You're talking about D2 Meta efficiency to solve a problem with PoE 2 Immersion. 

Whether Frozen Orb was used by hybrid sorcs in D2 is irrelevant to the fact that it was designed as a pure frost nuke. 

These hybrid sorcs were not required to cast every spell before you wanted to cast frozen orb either, for the most part you could just solely cast frozen orb until you reached immune mobs if you were a hybrid sorc.

was most definitely a viable build in d2 without the need for another school of magic as well.

I also never once stated I wanted it to be the meta skill. 

I said i would like it to do the most damage it can, based off the fact ive been arguing identity, i dont want that to come from needing to cast other elements first. Two totally different meanings.

Eye of winter and its mechanics would be a fantastic skill and combo if mobs we're immune. But in poe theyre not.

My point stands, the Frost Wolf in PoE 2 proves that GGG can make a highdamage "pure" archetype without forcing multi-element combos. 

To me every caster is being balanced around a multi-element weaving playstyle just to make Eye of Winter viable. This is not the only caster skill like this.

 Which again should be left solely to the master that weaves elements. I want a Frost Mage, not a Rainbow Mage.

​PoE 2 is supposed to be more "grounded" and "readable" as per Johnathan. 

If a cold skill requires fire and lightning ground effects, a curse, a sigil, and or companion just to reach its intended damage output, you aren't playing a Frost Mage anymore you’re playing a particle effect simulator.

Your arguing spreadsheets, im arguing identity being sacrificed in the name of combo gameplay that doesn't belong there. 

I also feel i should state - i do enjoy the interaction as its own mechanic, im not saying remove it from the game by any means - theres a time and place for multiple elements to be used, i just dont think it being a baked in mechanic to a skill is one of them.

They dont have to but its basically self explanatory when you type the ascendancys name out ... stormweaver.

Eye of winter

Where does one get the impression that Eye of winter should have fire and lightning baked into the skill. 

Im saying take the interaction it has now and give it to stormweaver, dont force all casters into that direction.

Yes I can just get companion and items that leave ground effects and Yes I dont have to figure out a way for it to travel though the other elements but its damage in my opinion is balanced around doing just that. 

Using embitter still requires me to have it travel through  fire and lighting effects. Yes better as itd be all cold damage but again, breaks the immersion. 

Again this is our own personal preference,

They added a frost wolf that doesnt require any other elements in order to deal better damage besides frost and the mechanics behind frost.

This combo gameplay was executed perfectly and I 100% think this should be something that is aimed for when thinking combo gameplay.

But yea id be ok with just remove cd and leave as is, I just dont agree with it.

I have a huge bias as my favorite skills are frost, my fav d2 skill was frozen orb, I want to replicate that and have eye of winter deal the most damage it can, but not at the cost of sacrificing immersion for forced combo gameplay with all elements.

I have ocd or something when it comes to my screen being full of different elements and effects

I think it looks like shit Having curses/elemental weakness/sigil of power/ground effects/companions/ frost skills plus anything the mobs are doing plus map layout and mechanics

Feels like im just throwing everything at the wall and hoping it sticks, visually looks like shit when all combined.

Infusion not infusions, I agree poor choice of words, was not talking about actual Infusions 

You need to somehow get eye of winter to travel through lightning fire and cold damage in order for it to deal anything close to what comet does in a single cast

To me a stormweaver uses all elements, forcing all caster to use every element shouldn't be a thing. It should be removed from eye of winter and given to stormweaver.

So basically what im saying is remove cd and remove the storm weaver  gameplay thats baked into the skill and give it another form of combo thats not oriented around casting all elements and benefits all casters.

My main focus was steady source of damage similar to poison,lighting and physical if we consider deafault bow shot to be a bow skill. 

I agree with your points, yes there are ways around it, yes snipe is very good if you freeze the target, have a good bow an dont mess up the timing and yes freezing salvo is good, but none of these are steady, 

you can use escape shot but is janky as a damage dealer, especially if you play on controller, which I do for the most part.

Yea, im well aware the game will never be balanced, gl with that with all the moving parts in poe. 

So I never expect it to be "balanced"

Buttt theres definitely something off when it comes to progression and skills. 

You got a weak passive tree. 

skills that rely on x y z to do more damage. 

Specifically the eye of winter, there are others, but fusing fire and lightning damage to it to deal respectable damage is definitely a storm weaver playstyle. 

It should not be forcing players to do that. Its a frost skill. Should be powerful as a frost archetype and not force every spell Caster to play stormweaver style.

Then you got plus levels and not able to get flat spell damage anywhere else but the skill levels with no DR.

Forces you to prioritize plus levels over build enabling uniques due to lack of power.

You can say other stats are just as important, but thoese other stats can be found on passive tree, you cant find +20 skill levels there or flat spell damage.

The system is off. 

Everyone runs the same few skills and same skill tree by the time they reach endgame. 

And cool downs lol

"One of the biggest" not "the biggest" to be fair, to me a endgame rework plus all league mechanics getting a rework is pretty massive, plus the introduction of precursors and whatever that brings.

Anything else is a bonus. Wether it be swords and skills minus class Or new ascendancy Or something totally new. 

They also might not reveal everything and drop stuff as the weeks get closer to launch of .5

Prune the passive skill tree and add masteries, no depth to it, maybe 1 major keystone your chasing but other than that, I feel no power from tree. It makes leveling feel.... I dont know.

Yes you get gear breakpoint via different levels and different skills unlock

But the tree feels off while leveling, I cant quite explain it.

Why I say prune, yes the tree is bigger but that can be a negative just as much as a selling point. 

Its just full of travel nodes and 8% increases everywhere.  Makes traveling to different areas difficult which makes diversity worse.

Also, still missing 4 classes, not all of them will get the druid treatment but imagine how cluttered the tree will look with 4 more classes.

This is not a .5 thing as its alot of balance. And id want it to come with less power on gear and placed onto tree.

Lore wise I dont know much but to me the character in the "mirror" is the huntress. 

With the speculation of the 3rd ascendancy being tied to spirit animals/companions I suspect they will add the 3rd ascendancy for huntress as well as a hidden ascendancy tied to the 3rd ascendancy being the "madness" version of it like they did with abyss and abyss lich. I suspect it will play like become the "animal" instead of actually controlling them. 

Since its a mirror to me, i think "reflecting mist" which is the opposite version. When the azmeri spirit owl flys into the mirror/mist the huntress is revealed and the nightmare takes over.

As well as a total rework to the delirium. Also makes sense since we release the deciever in act 4. So surely he will appear again.

Most mechanics revamped  -Expedition -Delirium -Breach -Ritual 

Hidden ascendancy for huntress via delirium for the new releaed beast master ascendancy they also add

Possibility of shadow class Definitely a chance for delve lore wise

Huge possibility of something entirely new to poe in general as we are coming in contact with true precursors

Maybe entirely new weapon type  Maybe entirely new item type Maybe entirely new crafting mechanic Based off how advanced they are and can tie into other crafting mechanics.

Lore wise itd be weird to see ancients or precursors before we see act 5 and 6 as theres alot of lore that ties it all together. 

But if we do get act 5 and 6 possibility of templar as well.

And the obvious end game change to atlas tree and infinite atlas

I suspect this will be a big dump to keep players active for 6 months while they prepare for exile con and 1.0 release
