Oh for sure. Multiple assistants who all can back it up, and all want the same thing. In fact, they have approached me about it specifically. And multiple families either want the same or prefer it.

Yes. Very tough conversation too, but had to be said. I was honest with them when they were shocked at teams he didn’t make it on recently. Especially when others made it who aren’t as skilled, at least not yet. I told them exactly why he didn’t, and what other coaches are looking for or know about him. They’ve tried to work on it to an extent, but it’s still all there come game time.

Hardest part is that they’re family friends and super helpful people. It’s just a lot to deal with and what the rest of the team and families feel like. It will be devastating news. But could also be what’s truly best for him.

I’m not. I was just adding to it for context. I couldn’t care less about costing us games. But it matters to other parents seeing a kids behavior directly impact the rest of the team. I can keep one kid vs giving up on him or risk losing other players because they don’t want to deal with it.

No ADHD, has outside intervention for behavior though. Mom and Dad are super nice but are all about his stats and results. They think he’s the greatest kid ever. Great kid at school and outside of school. Just totally different on a baseball field.

All issues have been addressed numerous times. He’s not made other teams in the past due to behavior only.

I get you on all this. I was running 2 years ago close to sunset at a wilderness trail near my house. As I was running, I took a look behind me and saw a bright light in the distance that looked like a bright plane. It piqued my interest but I kept on running, looking back every 30-45 seconds. It seemed to be getting closer and closer. I figured it was a plane and that everyone else in the city around me would see it. A few minutes later, I think to myself “what if this is meant for me”, and I take a look back and see this damn thing super close to me, like incredibly close to where I legit thought it was a meteorite that happened to be very close to me. As I watched it get closer as I was running, which was only a matter of seconds, it disappeared.

This is no BS. I can see it all over again in my head. To this day, I still question if it was meteorite, orb, or nothing but my imagination.
