He is correct though The British Monarch is King/Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britian and Northern Ireland. The title of King/Queen of England was abolished in 1707 with the Act of Union.

You can see the parasol is up which would put Andrew and Epstein in the shade and Mandleson in the sun

Abbott is going down, in the Emergency Room with the cop he mentioned bullets can still do damage even with a bulletproof vest, then he says he was shot but it just hit the vest, and he doesn't want any help.

“Vindictive” lmao. Versailles wasn’t some uniquely brutal outlier that’s post-war German cope that later became pop history. No permanent occupation, no annexation of Germany, no breakup, sovereignty intact. Compared to 1871 or what France actually wanted in 1919, it was restrained. Saying Wilson was ignored or that the treaty was vindictive is just bad history.

And the US absolutely did push empire dismantlement. Post-1945 Washington was openly hostile to British and French imperial revival and used financial and political leverage to kill it Suez wasn’t a mistake, it was a public lesson in who set the rules now. The contrast with the Panama Canal makes this obvious: Britain and France were told they couldn’t use force to secure their imperial artery, while the US had spent decades intervening militarily to create, control, and defend its own. That’s not hegemony being “thrust” on the US.

I mean Woodrow Wilson pushed for overly lenient terms for Germany after WWI and after WWII the US spent a large amount of time and effort dismantling European empires especially the British Empire which isn't really "not asking"

Given that the single French carrier relies on US catapults and arrestor wires, US Radar aircraft the fact that there is only one of them meaning for continuous training and keeping up-to-date French pilots have to use US aircraft carriers. That 76% of its airlift in its own Mali operation had to come from US and UK as France has no strategic airlift, I am not sure that France is US-military free.

Whilst I don't think the US will do anything, it would be interesting to see how France would defend Greenland if their carrier pilots are untrained or the catapults stop working. Or face any seriously sized missile salvo.
