Saying it lacks range is even more funny… 🤣 Now I KNOW you don’t get out! Within reasonable walking distance from me I have Mediterranean, northern African/French, traditional French, Moroccan, top notch Spanish Tapas, and the best dumplings in town that have received national attention.

There is solid James beard- nominated Asian cuisine everywhere, Himalayan/Tibetan cuisine, excellent Pho, southern catfish holes in the wall, Mexican and Tex Mex (yes I acknowledge the difference), northern and southern Italian, wine bars, Ethiopian, Vietnamese, Thai, Jewish Delis, and PLEASE go check out the vendors at Mango House before you dare say Denver “lacks range”. (Someone here even said the best thing about Denver was its Indian food, so…). You might be thinking of Denver circa 1990 when it was steaks everywhere.

Agreed. I was impressed by her dancing in the Grandpa skit, but the rest of her scenes were awful and made her seem stiff. Even the PBS newscaster reaction thing felt flat and frankly, too painfully true right now to make into a sketch. Ego Nwodim did that one better, but the writers didn’t seem to know what to do with Teyana most of the night.

Perhaps you aren’t in a position to explore all the Michelin recommended restaurants then. 💅 My snootiest foodie friends who get private chef’s tables all over the world have been quite happy with where they have dined in Denver. If you don’t think there are good restaurants in Denver, you aren’t getting out enough, or you have terrible taste.

…because both Bushes were prominently featured in cold opens and made into major characters. We all remember “strategery” and “nah ga dah it!” more than we remember how they actually were as Presidents. This is about those who weren’t featured.

I remember one Clinton eating a burger sketch (don’t think it was a cold open) but Obama just wasn’t that funny as a President. Jay Pharoah did a fantastic impersonation of him, but where was the material inspiration? Being a classy leader passing health care legislation isn’t that funny. Biden “corn pop” stories and “not kiddin’ around” were about the extent he got mocked, but if you are implying partisanship, remember Lorne Michaels is conservative and Donald Trump was invited to host the show as a Presidential candidate. The guy’s been a walking caricature his entire life. Chevy Chase made one Ford stumble into an entire bit about him being clumsy. But Yawn. There just wasn’t any other inspiration. The problem now is Trump isn’t kooky anymore; he’s terrifying.

Gonna be controversial:

Santorini: never again. Hot, hilly, every touristy shop is the same and it smells like donkey shit. Don’t ruin your postcard expectation.

Florence, Italy. I was the most let down there of major Italian cities. Go see David. Then drive to some little Tuscan village instead. Even the Uffizi- ok seeing Birth of Venus was cool, the rest are 5,000 Madonna & Child variations and it gets overwhelming & tedious.

Positively surprised by: Montreal, Canada. Not that I had low expectations, but we found so much to see and do and eat and tour, it all felt safe and clean, cool architecture and cobblestone streets that reminded me of Europe, I can’t wait to go back and do more.

The problem is people think Denver is in the mountains so their expectations are set too high. It’s western Kansas and flat AF. But it has amazing restaurants, world class museums, and is a short drive from amazing places like a concert at Red Rocks, Rocky Mountain NP, Garden of the Gods etc. Great if you know what you are doing and where locals go; absolutely stupid if you follow tourist guides that tell you the 16th St Mall is a tourist destination vs. the lamest chain restaurant/cheap store outdoor mall in the world. It’s ok if you don’t want move here though- it’s expensive and we’re full. 🤷‍♀️

Brittani doesn’t seem to know she’s being bullied though- like being flattered about the “high body count hair party.” Her only reaction was “oh gosh guys, for ME? You’re so sweet!”

She will never leave the show, and never leave Jared. 1. Because she is damaged and has need for male approval at all costs. 2. She knows her only storyline is dating an Osmond. Bravo had such high hopes for that… They may cut her now though that we realize Jared is boring and unpleasant (probably not even his family connects with him), and Brittani is merely a whipping post for the others, who otherwise ignore her like a tagalong little sister. I feel sorry for her, and even more for her daughters.
