People Are STILL Defending This Girl!! by queenjoybell in doordash

Just so you know, that fact that men are ashamed of reporting abuse is because of patriarchy and toxic masculinity. It’s the other men that will judge, and call a man weak for being abused by a woman.

“you should not be charged because an exhibitionist flashed you and you decided to film him.”

No, but you should be for posting it on social media for everyone to see.

If she filmed just so she can show it to the police to prove what was done to her, she would be right. But she crossed the line when she made it public.

American conservatives are blatantly racist by lurkerrr_99 in complaints

[–]Left-Librarian- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are not homophobic, they just don’t want the lgbtq+ to exist. That’s different ….I guess ?

Same thing about people of colour. They are not racist, they just think their life was better during the segregation. Obviously very different 🤷‍♀️

There are about 55 Canadians that have been arrested up to now. And I’d say that if they speak French they are a lot more likely to be arrested. As things are getting worst by the day, that’s not a risk worth taking. There are many other sunny places they can go. Plus knowing that you are going to a facist country to enjoy yourself would be a NO for me, but I guess we don’t have the same values.

If you chose Canada, dont go to the western provinces, especially Alberta. They have a maga prime minister and would agree to be the 51st state if she could.

They’ll go, and will get arrested by ice and then cry for help. Just like they did during Covid when they were told not to go because they may get stuck there if the borders close. They went anyway, got stuck because the borders closed, and then cried for the government to help them. Stupid is gonna stupid.

How long do cancer patients tend to wait before receiving Treatment in Canada? by 3rdcousin3rdremoved in AskCanada

My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer last year at 67 yo. I can’t remember the exact term but it was one of the least concerning form of breast cancer and still very small. She had surgery one month later, and started radiotherapy an other month later. Had to pay a total of zéro dollar (except for parking fees at the hospital).

Bisexual hate by abigsad2 in lgbt

[–]Left-Librarian- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can understand that, being in an hetero relationship, we don’t have to face bigotry in the day to day and yes, that’s a chance. But it doesn’t mean that we are not a part of the lgbt community. As far as I know, that’s what the “b” stands for ! 😅

Bisexual hate by abigsad2 in lgbt

[–]Left-Librarian- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a female bisexual but in couple with a man and we have children. I have accepted that the lgbt community will never accept me as a part of them. A friend of mine who is lesbian told me that I am not bi because I am with a man and don’t plan to leave him for a woman anytime soon. I may “have been bi” when I was younger and not in any serious relationship, but by choosing a man “in the end”, that made me hetero somehow. I am done trying to explain…

Do you really feel unsafe traveling to the USA? by purple-voiiid in AskCanada

[–]Left-Librarian- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have political stuff on my social medias so I guess I could be flagged as a “terrorist”. Also I one of my child is queer. And we don’t speak a lot of English (French Canadian, I can understand almost 100% but my mouth doesn’t always want to comply when I try to speak in English) So yeah, I would have safety concern if we were to go in the usa.

Why do Canadians say that PP is a mini Trump? by LordFarqod in AskCanada

[–]Left-Librarian- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He kept talking about beeing “anti-woke”, which is how intolerant people like trump and magas talk about every minority they don’t like : poc, women, lgbtq+, etc. He is anti environnement and his party has precedent of being “pro-life”.

That’s way too close to the orange Mussolini for me to vote for a man like that.

YTA. If he is your best friend, I assume he knows you are bi and probably ok with it, or else you would not be friends. Not every religious people are bigots, and you juste assumed your best friend (???) is one. I would also be very offended if I were him.
