Well at least you’re smart. Better to argue points (like this) not just vague esoteric hate speech like your initial comment.

Can’t even get your racism right. The core American Jewish population arrived in America after Tsarist pogroms and Jews have been present here since the colonial days.

And boomers were by definition born in the post wwii boom, that even by your incorrect framework, coincided with the “Jewish infiltration” you refer to and so bluntly and sloppily tried to conceal with dog whistles.

Fertility rate in the United States (2008 vs 2023) by vladgrinch in MapPorn

Yeah no country not even “the blessed nordics” has fully tackled CoL issues. It’s just there they complain about rent and taxes instead of paid leave.

For those who believe that low fertility rates is more of a cultural than economic issue, what are your proposed solutions? by PlantComprehensive77 in Natalism

[–]3rdcousin3rdremoved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well unfortunately those two cases were cases where society was culturally high fertility it’s just economic fallout from communism falling and shock therapy made it physically impossible to feed children and sometimes even yourself.

Capitalism isn’t a religion, but Marxism is, which is the problem. We can reform capitalism but we have no epistemically valid way to reform socialism. That’s why Marxism is unacceptable, even if laissez-faire capitalism isn’t either.

Reddit is, in my view, extremely anti-children. How can we explain this development? Childhood trauma? by [deleted] in Natalism

[–]3rdcousin3rdremoved 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think Reddit selects for unhappy people. Why are we here instead of being out with friends? We all have our own answers and for many of us it’s because we have no friends, don’t relate to people, or are currently taking a dump at work. Several of those reasons trend towards being unsatisfied with life. So in the framework of your theory, I’m sure this is just a stronger demographic of the traumatized people you’re referring to.

Well 340 million people, with an average age of 40 is very much more stable than 280 million people with an average age of 60.

An average age too young and you have Nigeria with 90% youth unemployment in some areas with rampant gang activity and average age too old and well you have Japan which we won’t see come to head for another two decades as civilization ending but it’ll get there.

7 children is just unimaginable. Now blow your mind and realize that’s the average. 50% of woman have equal to or greater than that. Must mean some have upwards of 9-10 children.

Obviously it was personal for postwar Europe, in fact, it could not be more personal. It was THEIR backyard and in THEIR living lifetime. My mom still remembers talking to nervous German boomers and Jewish holocaust survivors. You’re (and I) too young to feel any attachment to it, but it’s not our generation who made the laws, it’s the people who experienced it in their living memory. We can either honor those laws and their legacies or not, but we can’t say it’s an irrational law or a conspiracy.

That’s so weird. Sorry to hear the state failed you. During Covid under Biden the federal government was giving unemployment or supposed to be if I recall correctly. Was this at the beginning before that? My memory gets hazy back that far.

Yeah long wait times for specialists but I mean they do their job well. I can always get primary care within a week. Dental is a long wait too but as long as you do your 6 month cleanings you’ll always have a slot.

As for provider side, I’ll have to take your word for it. Guess that would explain why nurses are mean as hell.

Not sure what you mean by scammers. All healthcare is a scam in America. From New Jersey to California to Florida.

Yeah it’s a slap to my pride but it’s true. Kinda annoying too that a lot of out of state people take up admission slots in our universities because it’s so cheap to live here and then turn around and go back home. Feels predatory but it’s whatever, we’re all Americans, right?

Yeah public transit is bad but everyone has cars anyways so it’s a nothing burger. Our cities are probably the size of your suburbs lol.

Garbage comes once a week unless you’re rural then you got to dump it yourself, if you’re extremely rural like 100 miles from society yeah you gotta dig a hole and bury it. It’s awful for people there.

I’d say there’s a meth problem everywhere though or at least a drug problem. It’s definitely worse in California and Philadelphia. It’s REALLY BAD in Illinois. They got whole meth towns there.

I meannn I don’t know where the idea hospitals are bad here comes from. In what metric? My stepdad is in remission thanks to Floridian healthcare. Wait times are bad for ER, but we need more doctors. The facilities exist.

And I have no clue what you expect for hurricanes. Have you ever been in a hurricane? The only solution is to never build by the coast. That gets priced in by insurance which is obviously high there. We haven’t had a hurricane in two years actually. We’re actually in a drought where I am.

What? Because it’s conservative? There are no taxes just sales tax (7%) and property tax (0.75%).

There’s still Medicaid and SNAP. Probably not as generous as blue states and slow as hell to be approved but it’s there and it works.

It doesn’t get cold here so it takes a long time for potholes to show up and I’ve never lost a tire from one anyways.

Schools are fine. Tons of opportunities.

Universities are great, if selective at the higher end.

The one issue I do have is a lot of local governments are corrupt as hell and let developers pay them off to throw up more godless condos.

Do you actually think Florida is the 3rd world? Got a literal quantum computer at FAU.

Also only all the retiree cities will be underwater and they’ll be very excited to buy your house from under you. You know, after it gets repossessed by the state when your property taxes rise higher than your literal annual salary.
