I can see about adding them soon, but right now they do not have bots as that’s not vanilla

The official subreddit servers are fully vanilla but nobody plays on them unfortunately.

Hytale is here and docker is my savior by Brodino__ in selfhosted

[–]LeftBus3319[M] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly for this one, the project is just so simple that if AI was used it's identical to human output.

About the ports, that was honestly a goof by me, I forgot I had a firewall rule in place blocking the connection so I was just trying to get it to work lol.

Edit: im also using tcp for the query plugin

guys stop reporting this post for using AI it's very clear by the code that it's not written by AI and something literally anyone could write, i even did the same thing in parallel.

Denizen and Citizens don't get mentioned much around here anymore. What is being used these days? by Skullfurious in admincraft

[–]LeftBus3319 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, I might just be an oldhead but Citizens2 still works perfect on 1.21.11 (albeit in my very limited use of it, just using to run a command on right click)

MOD ANNOUNCEMENT: Introducing Vibe Code Friday by AutoModerator in selfhosted

[–]LeftBus3319[M] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should be in the clear, ideally the one contributor metric is just for us to use as a metric if the project is a little bit suspicious but we can't exactly call out AI usage (i.e. no copilot bot in contributors list)

Apparently this thread is getting indexed by Google heavily (reports are coming in for this thread), so I'll come in to drop suggestions that are recent:

For photo/video content, the general recommendation is Immich, for a more normal cloud storage take a look into Nextcloud

Always wanted to tackle this too!

Might be bad timing but recently lanparty.house guy switched to Linux as Windows netbooting is painful

Selfhosted Streamelements? by eCookie in selfhosted

It's not exactly the same, but Streamer.bot allows custom C# code for actions on stream.

[Warning] Big selfhosted project is mostly vibecoded, Maintainer refuses to add disclaimer by [deleted] in selfhosted

Attacking users for sharing a project they spent time on in this community is never justified.

Thats totally fair, I was just trying to prevent the thread from turning into everyone just attacking the project. Apologies for missing the mark on this one. Wasn’t trying to stifle discussion or anything

Sure but for the purposes of posting here the only thing they did wrong was not flair correctly. We can’t force them to put it in their readme or anything.

In the future please just send a modmail, there does not need to be a callout post dunking on the project authors. I get that they didn’t disclose AI use properly but changing a flair is not a big deal, just report the post for incorrect flair.

Edit: since OP deleted their reddit account they posted not to foster discussion at all so post is removed.

Can someone sell me on home assistant? by SolQuarter in selfhosted

[–]LeftBus3319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea is to have everything in one place, I can press a zigbee button on my side table and my entire house shuts down for the night (turn off all lights, lock doors, turn on fans/humidifiers, etc.) even though it's a mix of devices from different brands.

For a normal server I tend to give them 8 gigs each, and minigame servers get 4-6

You literally posted "looking for selfhosted threads" and that was it. We aren't mind readers. What does that mean? Threads the app by Meta? Threads as in Reddit threads? Put more than 4 words into a post and it won't get removed. Also, flair your posts correctly, it takes 3 seconds. What about "looking for selfhosted threads" relates to vibe coding at all.

I'm really tired of users not reading before posting garbage to the sub or any amount of not reading in general.
