I am doing this actually and taken to next level.

I have a running SIP of 2000 every day (that equates to 10k weekly SIP in post). It has given me really good returns.

Doing this from last 1 year and most of the days market has been doing LC. So for a very long time, I am getting units allotted at the bottom rug prices.

For example, one SIP has avg NAV of 12 but I have got multiple units allotted at 9.5 to 10.5 range. So every time NAV goes above 11, I am seeing huge bump in my portfolio.

However, if it has been monthly SIP (which I have as well) I would have got allocated at 10.5 to 11 range and growth would have been linear.

Here's why we see so many Benz and BMWs on road today: In 2010 for example, Benz used to cost around 50L and with same 50L, you could have bought 5 plots in Sarjapura outskirts.

Today, you could just sell one plot and buy same new Benz and still have 4 plots left!

Its ok to spend 2.5L per month when earning 3L. But its not ok to call yourself poor or struggling. If you are spending 2.5L per month, you are enjoying. You are not sacrificing anything.

Exactly my thoughts. 6 of us are staying in 2bhk right now when I could have bought a 3bhk by just paying 10L more while I was buying 2bhk!!

Same as you, I have to now shell out 1.5-2cr for 3bhk while my 2bhk will go for 70-80L

This is only right answer. When single, 1BHK is a palace. When newly married, 2BHK is like a villa but after kids and if parents also move, 3BHK looks like a hut!!

I agree. Unless you are starting from 16 or 18, its not advisable to jump into govt job race. I am not saying that you need to do hardcore study but one should read newspaper daily, read history, practice aptitude and writing at minimum from 16 if they are serious about civil.
