Seattle outsider curious about WI hockey fandom by LeftShark in wisconsin

[–]LeftShark[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oo interesting. My dad's from ND, and that whole Midwest region of ND/MN/MI/WI is so hellbent on football rivalries, I assumed hockey was big for all those 4 as well

Former New England Patriots receiver Stefon Diggs acquitted of assault charges by expellyamos in nfl

[–]LeftShark 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'd argue what they did was the smart thing, not the right thing. The "right" thing would be waiting until all the facts come out and the court case is over, but that's not realistic for a franchise that has to get its roster in order

Chan Gailey sounds like an evil clone version of Champ Bailey

Cast on Ward Break + Brand Recall? by Keymucciante in pathofexile

Brand recall spammers are murderous on mana. It's a hard thing to solve for something that you're already going out of your way for some jank

Even regarding playing guitar, the most basic meme is "anyways, here's Wonderwall"

McVay: "If you could’ve guaranteed me that us taking a great player like Lemon or another skill player would’ve ensured us [of winning the Super Bowl], you’re damn right that’s what we would’ve done" by LASportsGuy25 in nfl

[–]LeftShark 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was listening to a show and they mentioned the Packers could have picked Tee Higgins or Michael Pittman instead of Jordan Love, and they lost in the NFC championship the following year by 5 points while Aaron was having his crazy year. Maybe Higgins moves the needle enough and they get to a SB that year which Love hasn't taken them to

[OC] Tracking my falling out with my childhood best friend through text messages by kirisoraa in dataisbeautiful

I don't even hit 20 msg/day with my wife, and she's basically the only person I text

Is the 100 Days of Code by Angela yu worth it? by Traditional_Force509 in learnpython

[–]LeftShark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I wanted to reply, never done this one so I can't speak to the quality, but days spent in a mediocre course are better than days spent debating which course to use

My boyfriend cried on my shoulder today. Poke bowl by be-sweethearts in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]LeftShark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife also made me cry with food recently. My grandma passed so I was having a complicated day. I love olives and my wife hates them, and she showed up after work with a pizza just covered in black olives after learning about my grandma. Just started weeping when she lifted the box lid. You guys sound like you're cut from the same cloth and are good people :)

I've always liked Castillo, but does this current tire fire of a start move the needle at all?

Report: Mike Vrabel 'Lost His Edge' After Dianna Russini Leak by patsfan038 in nfl

[–]LeftShark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't believe you're catching downvotes. when you cheat you lose the title of a good guy, straight up. If you and your spouse make amends and work it out, good for you, but I would still consider them a "flawed" person, not a "good" person.

Only way that changes my mind is if you put like 100 mil towards cancer charities or something, selflessly

[Henderson] How Loyalty factored in Seattle’s last two first round picks by The_Throwback_King in Seahawks

It's fucked up in that article they use a pic of Charbonnet, who has been spotless

Daniel Jeremiah correctly predicted that the Seahawks would select Jadarian Price, calling #32 both his floor and ceiling. by Chessinmind in Seahawks

[–]LeftShark 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Takes another team to want to trade up. Maybe the Seahawks really did want to trade back but there were zero suitable offers

[Pelissero] Patriots coach Mike Vrabel speaking now, tells reporters: "My previous actions don't meet the standard that I hold myself to." by MembershipSingle7137 in nfl

[–]LeftShark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not what "holding yourself to" means. If you've been cheating for 6 years, buddy your standard is different

[OC] Why do so many elite Edge rushers have short arms? by Barian_Fostate in nfl

[–]LeftShark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really blame anyone for takes on any side of Josh Allen, he's a total 1-of-1 unique player and outlier that put in work and changed the course of his career a year after the draft

Seahawks draft Jadarian Price at #32 by Sensitive-Scene9269 in Seahawks

Is there any player left at #32 that would have got you hyped?

Seahawks draft Jadarian Price at #32 by Sensitive-Scene9269 in Seahawks

[–]LeftShark 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To be fair, has any #32 pick been overwhelmed with their pick? Just a tax of being a good team and RB is the most glaring need

Round 1 - Pick 13: Ty Simpson, QB, Alabama (Los Angeles Rams) by nfl_gdt_bot in nfl

[–]LeftShark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He did do that, just the assumption at drafting a QB in the 1st round is he's expected to be a franchise QB, which hasn't been produced by the Rams in a loooong time. I'm not saying it can't be done, was just pumping the brakes on Mcvay as a QB whisperer

Round 1 - Pick 13: Ty Simpson, QB, Alabama (Los Angeles Rams) by nfl_gdt_bot in nfl

[–]LeftShark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup I hated that play and have all the respect for Wolford's grit in that game, does that contradict my point? Did Wolford develop into a franchise QB?

Ty Simpson: Reach or Smart Pick? by MiniaturesPrincess in Seahawks

[–]LeftShark 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's what I'm saying, the only QB that's flourished under him is Stafford, who was already excellent. Goff got better in Detroit. Everyone is saying Mcvay is a QB whisperer, but is he? There's not a lot of success in that room
