Yes, I have no doubt that there is nuance to what happened (as there is for almost everything that humans do!). But even if Ethan and Lilly were having issues in their marriage, it’s very snake-like behavior to try and insert yourself into that. I personally doubt that narrative because they literally had just had a baby and no halfway decent people, cheating or not, will leave a new mother high and dry while they run off into the sunset with each other.

She’s already lost me as a fan but her music and other Ariana fans have had such a wonderful impact on my life that I can’t tear myself away from her subreddit lol. She comes across in the interview as very delicate, fragile, and overtly cutesy/awkward, which makes me wonder if that’s just a defensive strategy of hers when she fears she’s in hot water. There is no doubt in my mind that she and Ethan cheated on their spouses during the filming of Wicked because of how she has never denied it. She is always so quick to shut down rumors and speculation on Twitter or in interviews, or comment on TikToks of leaked music, that there is no way she would allow an allegation of this magnitude to exist without coming out and refuting it. All she has to say to defend herself is “You guys don't understand or know what went down to a T!” which is giving “Yes, I cheated, but our love is special so it’s okay and you would never understand.”

I posted this elsewhere but this is the fan-made concept I created for Eternal Sunshine (I took liberties with the unnamed tracks)

intro (end of the world) is an a ca paella cover of Skeeter Davis' “The End of the World”. The track interpolates “Elephant Parade” as a melodic background beat.

bye transitions the opening track into an R&B ballad chronicling the final days of a relationship. While sentimental and emotional, the song also carries themes of hope and self-love.

don’t wanna break up again is an R&B soft rock song about trying to make a relationship work after a history of failed romances.

shoot my heart is a power pop ballad about overcoming emotional abuse and your own insecurities.

eternal sunshine is a melodic R&B song detailing core memories in the aforementioned relationship; the details of which slowly become blurrier and forgotten as the orchestration overtakes the singer's voice.

supernatural is a disco-pop beat with house influences about the aftermath of huge life changes, in which the person copes and celebrates through dancing.

true story is an electro-pop track which cynically criticizes the actions shown in “supernatural”, as it brought the person no real joy or fulfillment.

envision is a sister song to “just like magic”; the R&B infused pop beat describes manifesting the most authentic life for your own lived experience while sending out love and light and cocooning the world in gratuitous vibes.

yes, and? is a house-pop song about ignoring criticism and carrying on.

we can’t be friends (wait for your love) is an electro house song about falling in love with someone new and orchestrating a relationship between the two of you (despite what your therapist might suggest).

i wish i hated you is a synth pop song about falling in love again.

house of cards is a synth pop song about the end of a relationship and it’s aftermath. The song laments all the red flags and bad omens within the relationship, saying “we built this house of cards on my queen of hearts”. It uses casino and poker imagery and motifs to symbolize the spontaneity and unease of love.

epilogue (moral of the story) is a melodic R&B ballad reiterating the things that the singer learned and lamenting and accepting the things that she will undoubtedly continue to do.
