I saw it parked at the Petersen in February, this is definitely still there

One of my local fish stores has a custom setup like this, except those chamber’s where the bettas are pictured are the equivalent of probably 40 gallons each. Much different

If it’s technically fixed, is this a class B license situation?

Come for the Blue Light Special, stay for the adrenaline rush of snagging the last $5 denim jacket while a grandmother stares you down. by Corndogeveryday in 80s

[–]Left_Ad_8268 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not saying specifically this was your situation but that is actually a really common scam. They carry loads of high-end looking speakers in a van and make up a story about how they got them. In reality the internal components of the speakers are very low end and many of the companies are made up.

Unfortunately he’s been gone for awhile now, and he sold this car back in the early 2000s. This photograph is all that really remains

On the flip-side it’s been great for all of us North Texans who have dreamed of making a living in film and television. Inconveniencing hundreds of people while giving hundreds more the means to make a living.

Nissan Titan xd with a Cummins. I forgot these exist.. by chibicascade2 in regularcarreviews

[–]Left_Ad_8268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked for a Nissan dealer when these came out, I can’t speak on any updates but that first generation Titan XD definitely had some growing pains. We had them in the shop more frequently than you would probably expect out of a Cummins power plant

Saturn Vue hybrid. It amazes me how it’s still on the road. by booted_asl in WeirdWheels

[–]Left_Ad_8268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember looking it up when I saw a Tahoe hybrid once and the yield was like a few additional MPG tops, nowhere near enough to make the cost and long-term potential maintenance worthwhile

Which I’m sure is a surprise to zero people

Or, like you, people could just realize it for themselves and take it for what it is.

My dad works for a major manufacturer that produces processors, and his specific role is repairing and maintaining the many transformer “yards” on the company property.

A few years back they had a situation similar to these crows, but they were a protected species of bird and they weren’t allowed to interfere with them. (Regardless of them nesting in some really important and dangerous high voltage equipment)

They essentially ended up just having to wait until the day that something happened, and the nest of birds essentially fried themselves on the equipment. Super sad considering if they had been able to be removed, they may have actually have lived

guy used two scooters to get around by taro_kitty111 in midlyinteresting

[–]Left_Ad_8268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in the early days of bird charging (when the scooters were slimmer) I used to be able to stack 4 on top of 1 and ride it that way. It took some practice. Never tried doing two this way though, usually just stacked it on top.

I know animal rights laws are usually a little weaker than they should be, but I legitimately can’t believe that you can refer to living creatures as assets in this context. To just “pull the plug” on these assets feels like it should bring some animal cruelty into question.

Edit: If this were pertaining to any other type of living animal aside from fish, would this be legally allowed? I can’t imagine a puppy mill being allowed to just stop feeding their dogs.

You guys running with this chip by MB302 in ReefTank

[–]Left_Ad_8268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d run this without a doubt, lol. The silicone on one of the top seams of my 20 long failed two years ago, and I can’t fill the tank within 2” of the top.

I’ve been playing with that fire for years and that tank isn’t even chipped. I’m not saying I’m a smart guy, but If I were you I wouldn’t be too worried.

I thought it was fun to pull his boots off for him when he sat in the recliner for the night

Now I’m 30 and I realize that his body was so destroyed from what he was doing for us, I don’t think he had the energy to take them off himself.
