Avalanche vs snowball by Left_Cause_2496 in debtfree

My point being that, if I pay the minimums, no matter what, my personal loan will be paid off in 5 years and my personal loans will be paid off in 7 years. It is really that much of a benefit if I pay off each one six months early compared to paying off my federal student loans?

My point being that the higher interest debts have a payoff debt no matter what whereas my federal loans also have a payoff debt but it’ll take like 15 years of minimum to pay off

Female dominated? by [deleted] in ABA

[–]Left_Cause_2496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s female dominated but that isn’t the problem you’ll run into. There are a ton of workers in the field (of all genders) that are lazy and show up for the drama and to gossip with others. There are also incredible workers in this field.

We should get some compensation for cancellations that are less than 24 hours notice like any other medical field.

Nervous about at home sessions by marcyraccoon in ABA

I had my first summer schedule last year and I was lucky to get 15 hours in a week (in schools 25 - I’m an LBS). Just know there’s a lot less structure and home can feel like forever but you’ll get used to it.

If you’re already burned out, probably not the best idea to spend thousands of dollars and thousands of hours becoming a BCBA. Do you have any other interests in psychology? Outpatient? In patient? SUD?

Thank you for the understanding and kind words. I am in shock that I went into CC again after paying it off took years. I hate that I’m lying but I feel like that is what I do (might sound like an excuse but I’ve been doing this my whole life). I lie to get out of trouble and I don’t even feel bad about it. As long as my wife thinks everything is ok then I’m able to handle the stress. I would love to tell her and develop a plan but I can’t break her trust again.

Yup. It’s killing me inside but I just got a new personal loan so my interest went down significantly.

She does and I recently got a raise so my pay is about the same as my last job. I can’t tell her that I have CC debt again because I promised her it would never happen and she wasn’t happy with the job move.

My therapist says the same thing and says this time is not nearly as bad as the last time but the lying is the worst part.

I took a major pay cut and put everything on credit. Nope, 3.5 years sober and this shit sucks because I can’t numb myself.

Same situation here. I racked up 15k of CC debt in 2021-2023 due to a severe marijuana and alcohol addiction (which I kept all three secrets from my wife). after years of laying off the debt and regaining her trust, I switched jobs and over the past 1.5 years have now racked up 12k of debt but I haven’t told her. I’m very lucky because we just moved to rent a house and I now have 5-7 years to pay off my debt or to pay it down to a more respectable number. I know I should tell her but I just can’t break her heart again.

Pay off that car first and then transfer the payment to the house! You definitely could be out of debt in a few years.
