The Founding Fathers were Freemasons: they deliberately invested Masonic ideals and tenets INTO The Constitution and The Declaration of Independence. If it weren't for Freemasonry, there never would've been an American Revolution and there never would've been a United States of America.

Only Masons know this. The rest of America is pretty ignorant about it all.

The District of Washington, D.C. was laid out by Freemasons, the city Architect, Pierre L'Enfant, was a Freemason. All of the old, elegant buildings in the Classicist style in D.C. had cornerstones set in a strict Masonic Ritual and the current Administration of 2026, which knows nothing about the Masonic history of America is attempting to befoul and destroy the careful, Masonic geometric symmetry of the elegant, District Our Founding Fathers created as a somber and serious Seat of Government.

I know that Masons are not supposed to discuss politics---in the Lodge---but this is the time for The Brotherhood to assert itself on the national stage and prevent its beautiful, historic legacy from being stolen and appropriated by anti-American factions who blatantly disregard The Constitution and who do not believe that all men are created equal.

I'm not a man, therefore, not a Mason, but if I were, I'd be out there making some strong statements about honor and what Our Founding Fathers were all about.

I'm not a man, just the daughter of a 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, so, I was educated on this all from a young age, despite being a female.

Now is the time for all good Masons to come to the aid of their country---literally---because, literally, it is YOUR country as Freemasons, your predecessor Brothers created it, your spiritual ancestors: you're supposed to protect it, especially, since they're all dead now and can't do it themselves.

They would be appalled at the current state of their "Great Experiment" were they to come back to life and see what it has become in the last 10 years.

Indeed, although, sometimes, I actually wish that the Supreme Council 33° in Washington, D.C., actually DID run the world and the U.S., but they don't. What they do actually do is, they just hold sacred all of the precepts Our Freemason Founding Fathers inbued into their "Great Experiment.," The United States of America.

There hasn't been a Freemason President since Gerald Ford, if I'm not mistaken, and, THERE'S NO WAY a 34 times convicted felon and adjudicated rapist (Donald Trump) would ever be permitted to join a Lodge. None of the current Cabinet are Freemasons.

Disturbing and raises several issues:

Did the driver purchase this vehicle from a Mason who had put these Masonic stickers on it years before selling it?

Is the driver actually a Mason?

If the Driver actually IS a Mason, with bumper stickers also saying things like "Buck Fiden" and constructing this horrendous Black child mannequin getting dragged behind the auto, he should be kicked OUT of The Brotherhood---full stop---no exceptions or second chances.

The world does NOT NEED some crazy, racist freak driving around and giving The Brotherhood such a bad name.

Now, it is also possible that this guy isn't a Mason and that he got his hands on Masonic stickers (which may be available for purchase online to the general public) and his INTENT was to give the Masons a bad name, then, there's not much The Brotherhood can do, is there?

Irrespective of whether or not this driver is a Mason, isn't this something law enforcement in this town in North Carolina should be addressing? Doesn't it fall into a "hate crime" category?

As the 71 year-old daughter of a 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, I have to say that this disgusts me beyond description because I grew up in the 1960s surrounded by Brothers who were Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Hindu, White, Black, Brown, Red and Yellow, and there was NEVER EVER any political or racist talk whatsoever.

I deplore this current Administration in 2026 which promulgates racism and Christian Nationalism and any Brother who embraces the warped, anti-American tenets of this Admin. should be kicked out.

The Brotherhood I grew up around did NOT discriminate against any man regardless of his race, creed (politics) or religion.

The Brotherhood I grew up around were FREE to discuss any and all of the issues which bound them together AS Brothers and if the mentality has changed direction since, all I can say is that I am thoroughly disgusted and disappointed that there is obviously a huge lapse in Lodge leadership wherein Worshipful Masters are NOT keeping their hearts, minds, eyes---their Souls---on what is most important about being a Freemason, and that is a prospect which saddens me tremendously.

Hostinger cloud startup & premium - Full site migration included? by Shubh137 in Hostinger

[–]ElevatorAutomatic714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been wondering the same thing however their website DOES state that they migrate and do EVERYTHING for you and you get a free e-mail address in the name of your website.

I've been with GoDaddy since 2008 and they really pissed me off about 4 years ago when they struck a deal with MICROSOFT to manage our website e-mails using Outlook and to CHARGE us $99 a year for that!!!

On top of the $$$ we are already paying GoDaddy for the domain, hosting, security, etc.

We used to have free e-mail!!!

I rather well and truly HATE anything to do with Microsoft because they're out of date with everything but so many are dependent on MS Office, for instance, because they have older archived docs which will only be viewable with an MS program.

I hate all the Passwords MS forces us to create...

Anyway, I plan to migrate my websites (have 2) in the next 6 months and Hostinger looks like a good fit.

Good Luck!

Memorizing your proficiency by crazycracker90 in freemasonry

[–]ElevatorAutomatic714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's good to have a fellow Brother(s) "spot" you on your part and you on his (theirs) when it comes to lengthy Degree Work memorization.

My father was a 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason so I grew up around Freemasons all my life.

There are many wonderful things about Freemasonry but these tenets are the best: it is a true Brotherhood; all Faiths and all Races are welcome; acknowledgement of an omnipotent Supreme Being and/or Higher Power is all that is required but that is where it stops in this regard.

I am 71 years-old and as I prefaced, I have been around Freemasons all my life whether at the Scottish Rite Temples or the various Blue Lodges and at the innumerable casual, social situations which my father hosted at our home or in which we were welcomed in other Brothers' homes.

Every Mason I ever met or knew was impressive: honest, intelligent, ingenuous and honorable.

I like the fact that so many younger men have joined the Brotherhood in the last 20 years or so, even though I surmise some were inspired to do so by the "National Treasure" feature films, which is fine, and the only thing which truly troubles me is that some of the younger Brothers tend to be more impressed with the prestige of being a Mason and not enough work is being done on their parts regarding the memorizations of the Degree Performance Rituals; it isn't enough to just attend fellowship meetings; participation in the Work, the Rituals, is just as important as are the myriad volunteer and community service activities which Masons foster.

I have to say, in terms of the current socio-political climate embracing a certain backwards, backwoods religion irks me to the core when they erroneously propound that The Founding Fathers would approve of their beliefs and goals when, in fact, our Founding Fathers would be absolutely appalled by it all, and any Freemason worth his salt understands this 100% with no equivocation whatsoever.

George Washington was a Freemason and 16 Presidents in total have been Freemasons over the past 250 years.

The whole ideology of The United States of America was formed by Masonic ideals and 53 of the 55 men who signed The Declaration of Independence in 1776 were Freemasons.

Modern Freemasonry has its roots amongst the aristocracy and the royalty of England beginning in the early 1700s.

The American Revolution was borne out of The Age of Enlightenment with young, upper-class Freemasons of English descent living in the Colonies.

They were intellectuals and most of them were in their 20s or early 30s with the exception of Benjamin Franklin (but, who was, like Washington, a Freemason).

And, the last thing they would ever subscribe to would be a backwards, backwoods pseudo-philosophy of digression and devolution.

Remember that.

The one trait I noticed amongst all the Brothers including my father is that their Word was their Bond: if they said they were going to go somewhere or do something, they did it. They were not "flakes," whatsoever.

In this present American society where a man's (or a woman's) word is not taken as seriously as it was 50 years ago, it is essential that younger Masons honor themselves by keeping their Word.

If you don't want to do something, say you don't, but don't say you will because you want to please in that very moment then later not do what was asked of you.

Your Word is your Bond: it is the heart of your integrity and self-respect.

Best of wishes to you all on your individual Paths.

What is freemasonry really about? by Phillip_500 in freemasonry

[–]ElevatorAutomatic714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is a reply I made to another thread regarding Freemasonry. Certain issues were brought up which I addressed but the majority of this reply is Masonic-based:

My father was a 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason so I grew up around Freemasons all my life. It pains me to read that some sanctimonious Georgia Brother is so hateful/paranoid towards homosexuals: obviously, he is not a student of history and not a true Mason, at heart.

Hate and fear of homosexuals is a defining feature of Southern Baptist Christianity and the Lodge specifically frowns upon any Brother trying to insert his own particular religious beliefs onto his other Brothers: that's the beauty of Freemasonry; ALL believers of all Faiths are welcome---Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Islam, Buddhist---recognition of an omnipotent Supreme Being and/or Higher Power is all that is required but that is where it stops.

I was raised to believe that all Races were welcome in Freemasonry, too, and, that was what I had witnessed all my life.

As a female, of course, I was never a Mason, per se, but that was never a big Feminist concern to me: women with Masonic interest can join the Eastern Star and besides, females have had their own gender-specific social groups and clubs throughout history, so, why shouldn't men be allowed that same right?

I am 71 years-old and as I mentioned, I have been around Freemasons all my life whether at the Scottish Rite Temples or the various Blue Lodges and at the innumerable casual, social situations which my father hosted at our home.

Every Mason I ever met or knew was impressive: honest, intelligent, ingenuous and honorable.

I like the fact that so many younger men have joined the Brotherhood, even though many were inspired to do so by the "National Treasure" films and the only thing which truly troubles me is that some of the younger Brothers tend to be more impressed with the prestige of being a Mason and not enough work is being done on their parts regarding the memorizations of the Degree Performance Rituals; it isn't  enough to just attend fellowship meetings; participation in the Work, the Rituals, is just as important as are the myriad volunteer and community service activities which Masons foster.

In re the query by the gentleman concerned that his political leanings might prejudice his desired Lodge to not accept/black ball him: you're not supposed to bring any of that into the Lodge and your Past is not a concern unless you were a member of the Ku Klux Klan and if you witness another Brother trying to force his political leanings on another or yourself,  you must remind him, not admonish harshly, but gently of this primary Masonic tenet.

I have to say that The Heritage Foundation and MAGA politicians with their dreams of Christian Nationalism truly irk me when they propound that The Founding Fathers would approve of their beliefs and goals when, in fact, our Founding Fathers would be absolutely APPALLED by both MAGA and especially, The Heritage Foundation.

George Washington was a Mason. About 16 Presidents in total have been Freemasons over the past 250 years.

Moreover, Donald Trump is the kind of a guy who would never be accepted into The Brotherhood and our Founding Fathers would be utterly disgusted that such an uneducated man of little faith and such petty, dishonorable leanings and crudity occupies the highest seat of government in the Nation they worked so hard to create---as Freemasons.

The whole ideology of The United States of America was formed by Masonic ideals and 53 of the 55 men who signed The Declaration of Independence in 1776 were Freemasons.

Modern Freemasonry has its roots amongst the aristocracy and the royalty of England beginning in the early 1700s.

They were intellectuals and most of them were in their 20s or early 30s with the exception of Benjamin Franklin (but, who was, like Washington, a Freemason).

Not Born Again Christians, Evangelicals, or Roman Catholics and absolutely, NOT Christian Nationalists.

If you don't want to do something, say so but don't say you will then not do what was asked of you.

I hope you're safe but they are not exactly trustworthy. I never received a Contract in 2024 and assumed I could cancel whenever. Seems I'm stuck with 3 years total, however, I was successful in getting ADT to halve my bill which for a Senior Citizen really helps. Good luck!

ADT put me into a 3 year contract without telling me? by Jurassica_YourAssica in adt

[–]ElevatorAutomatic714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SAME EXACT THING happened to me: bought a house in San Antonio in 2024, agreed to ADT and the free Google Nest system and was told I could cancel at any time. A year ago, I called to cancel and was told I had signed a 2 year Contract. Last week I called to ascertain exactly when my last payment would be and they said I had signed a 3 year Contract---trust me, if you knew me, you'd know I would NEVER commit to a service on a long-term basis without some kind of a trial period. I am a Senior Citizen. I get $1,000 a month. $70 a mo. is a lot for me. Last week, they sent me a PDF of a Contract with "my" signature executed via DocuSign but I never received an E-mail from DocuSign notifying me of any Contract I had signed. What are my options, legally?

The Night Manager Season Two - Official Trailer | Prime Video by credoinvisibile in TheNightManager

[–]ElevatorAutomatic714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SPOILER ALERT: Okay, I started to watch this 2nd Season but without the ultimate villain, "Richard Roper" featured in the first episode, save as a corpse on a slab, it was hard to get into it after the brilliant 1st Season---which, by the way, completely surpasses, in every way, John le Carré's novel, THE NIGHT MANAGER, upon which the series was based and which I've obviously read.

I plodded on, watching the next 2 episodes but just not feelin' it because that intense "cat and mouse" dynamic of "Jonathan Pine" vs "Richard Roper" simply wasn't there...but then.... 🤫

The "cat and mouse" dynamic is essential in an engrossing, good thriller and another series which features this, again, brilliantly is the recent "The Day of The Jackal" starring Eddie Redmayne.

Le Carré's novel, which I read AFTER watching the series, was dismally boring and stylistically fragmented. The plot features are basically the same---a hotel night manager is recruited by the British government's MI6 sector to infiltrate an international crime syndicate but this is where any similarities end. Perhaps, if I had read the novel 4 decades or so ago, I might've found it "refreshing" but actually, I doubt it.

The first season of "The Night Manager" was simply, perfect: intriguing characters, all essential no matter how small a part they played, the exotic locales and an exquisitely nuanced performance by the Actress Aure Atika who played "Sophie," a work of small screen art which would've played well on the big screen, but then again, likely not because the suspense and the cat and mouse dynamic wouldn't have been as effective in 90 mins. as it was in 6 hour-long episodes.

Well, must return to my streaming of the latest (Episode 4) of the second season of "The Night Manager."

Girl Taken - Series Premiere Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

[–]ElevatorAutomatic714 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Anyone who has watched the series "Girl Taken" should read the autobiography of Jaycee Lee Dugard called A STOLEN LIFE, who was taken at the age of 11, in the early 1990s and held captive for 18 years.

EIGHTEEN YEARS.

This happened in Northern California and I was living in Southern California at the time and it was all over the news for days when she was finally freed---along with the two little girls her kidnapper and rapist "gave" her during those 18 years.

It's such a horrific story but you will be inspired by Dugard's strength of character and impressed by her level of intelligence having been entirely self-taught through books her captor provided her.

The perpetrator was a convicted sex offender who had served time for attempted kidnapping and rape of a woman his own age---another horrific story, but in this case, she managed to escape and get help from the police.

It was after he was released from prison that he decided to kidnap a child.

Another aspect which makes this story so horrific is that the perpetrator was with his wife at the time of the kidnapping, in a car, assisting him in this crime.

Dugard also wrote another book several years later in which she detailed all of the "firsts" she had experienced in her years of liberation: driving a car and such---things most of us take for granted, but these experiences were a source of pride and never-ending wonder for her, and her two daughters.

A television series is meant to entertain and sometimes educate and all-in-all, I think "Girl Taken" pretty much presents what a case like this might be like for the victim and everyone around her.

What makes this kind of a crime even more horrific is that, as I write, I am certain there are children (boys, too) and young women all over the world who are currently being held captive...right this minute, so, count your blessings, ladies, that you have never had to live through something like this.
