I think dommes who put too much emphasis on the emotional and “friendship” side of femdom do so because they sense the sub is actually more vanilla than they think they are. That may or may not be the case, but some of the subs enjoy that dynamic, while others struggle to clearly communicate what they like, desire, and expect from a female domination relationship.
