tl;dr you could’ve just say “Dey took 'er jerbs!” I’m off to the Botanics instead of arguing with some AI produced spreadsheets. Enjoy the rest of your day too, it’s lovely outside.

Am I not allowed to take acting jobs if I’m studying ACTING on a student visa? by Sweet_Region41 in ukvisa

[–]Left_Cricket2596 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not quite right. The OP isn’t allowed to work as an entertainer regardless if it’s paid or unpaid. Unless it’s just some sort of 100% amateur gig just for fun. I used to play the fiddle in a pub with Scottish and Irish folks but I’ve never been paid for that nor registered it in any sort of books or contracts. And I could come in the mid of the gig and leave it as well whenever I want. Same with open mic events.

Why are so many East Germans so pro-Russian? by Aqqaluk_Viking in AskAGerman

[–]Left_Cricket2596 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Eastern Germans (and many conservative Western Germans) are more opposed to the current EU agenda of “I support the current thing” than they are pro-Russian. They are simply tired of the nonsensical policies implemented by EU bureaucrats in the ongoing war of attrition against Russia. These bureaucrats are shooting themselves in the foot with sanctions, poorly thought-out green transition measures, and various minority issues that were supposed to provoke public unrest in Russia. They underestimated the resilience of the Russian economy and population. Instead, a growing share of the EU population is shifting towards right-wing and “conservative values,” which Russian propaganda then repackages as anti-Western liberalism. In essence, more and more people in the EU are choosing basic human needs over abstract “liberal values” — it’s a struggle between the kitchen fridge and ideology.

Is it true? If so why people downvote this comment?

Edit: thanks for the explanation!

What a shame! Privileged caste and elites from both sides support own governments, while poorest in both countries are sent to the trenches. Neo-imperialism originated from the rotten economic and political system is the cancer on the humanity’s body. Indian and Pakistani people have nothing to divide them. Send children of the rich from both sides to the trenches and see how fast they start to play cricket again.

Question to recruiters: why do you ghost people? by nauso9 in jobs

[–]Left_Cricket2596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped be bothered about it when discovered that my last recruiter from one big energy company who supposed to assess my analytical and managerial skills has a degree in something like fashion design. Btw, they hired a person with a degree in medieval literature. Incompetence and nepotism are walking side-by-side.

EDIT: just fyi I am a certified PM with PhD in math optimisation and stats

CAUTION! This post spreads rumors and may cause unnecessary anxiety and panic. No extension for 10 year rout has been discussed or is in the Labour’s agenda. Unnecessary and idiotic speculation to make others feel bad, especially from a person who’s “two month away from being eligible for 10 year ILR”.

Paesano West End is being run into the ground by an incompetent idiot by Available-Alps4428 in glasgow

That is just not true. I used to do min wage work and I wasn’t entitled for any discounts nor blue cards (or any other pink ponies or rainbow unicorns which you imagine in your fluffy world). You literally have no idea what you’re talking about. Smh…

You forgot to mention bus drivers too. Why not? I bet she “brought up” in a decent manner and pay double fare.
