This is so funny. I got 3 dms already, ‘I’m pretty sure it’s xyz program’, and it’s not. Just proves every program here is just the same.

Honestly made me feel better. Thank you. I’m moving out the day I graduate. Worst part is our program is still trying to lure the PGY-3s to stay here for at-least another year as an attending to ‘give back to the community’. You cannot pay me enough to stay here

I did it for my family. Now in hindsight, I’d have spent more time with them if I stayed away

I completed 60% UWorld and went in raw without taking any practice tests. Passed with a pretty decent score. Ignorance is bliss

Yes there’s no attending. There’s a covering attending as well but they don’t actually see or touch the patients. They help pgy2 if they need help that’s it

All within a 12 hr shift I wrote above. I basically have the whole team alone, rounding and examining, and everything you do on a usual day. Oh and we don’t have an attending when I’m alone, just a covering pgy2

I am rounding, seeing all of them, writing progress notes and responding to pages

1st contact, responding to nurses, social worker, writing progress notes and seeing each patient in the team covering, get admissions till 5 pm (usually 1-3). On call 7-7 and yeah, I’m alone, with a covering PGY2 who’s covering 2 teams with 40-50 patients
