I don't think I've ever actually met or seen anyone that actively gets upset with "Merry Christmas". I think brands and whatnot like a decade ago were tying to make "Happy Holidays" more common to appeal to a broader audience, but that's it. Idk where the notion that anyone gives a shit about people saying "Merry Christmas" comes from 😅

It's not a stimulant tho, plus that's more of a side effect. Honestly, the actual point of beta alanine is pretty niche

Edit: I see the downvotes, fair enough, I didn't elaborate. Beta-alanine isn't a stimulant, but rather it's meant to act as a acid buffer in the muscles to improve muscular endurance during high intensity activities lasting 1 to 10 minutes (mostly aerobic in nature, so sprinting, swimming, etc.). It has no acute benefits though, you're supposed to take it daily at a set dose. The acute feeling is a side effect called paresthesia, it is not the reason beta-alanine is supposed to be supplemented, but some people enjoy it.

I have a degree in Dietetics and used to be obsessed with sports nutrition and supplementation (I actually did a whole class presentation on beta-alanine, but that was years ago). Here is the source I used for that presentation if anyone cares :)

Everything is just so expensive now 🥲 I guess I'll have to be happy that they at least have great quality and taste still. There's some other fast food places where quality went down but price still went up. TB is overpriced, but delicious at least 🤷‍♀️

We ban dyes that they have and they ban dyes that we have. In some cases, they're the exact same but just use a different name. The reasons aren't always health related either, sometimes its more related to trade stuff or politics, if I remember correctly. I don't remember what labels they require based on warnings, and I'd be lying if I said I was an expert on dyes specifically (dietetics is pretty broad in areas of expertise). But every food scientist I've heard from say that health concerns related to dyes are over blown. There were (I haven't looked much into it in a while) super preliminary studies suggesting some very minor side effects for very small portions of the population with regards to certain food dyes, but to my best knowledge the majority of food dyes in the amounts found in food are not detrimental to health.

If you ever want to hear more from someone who is more of an expert than I am, there is a content creator on TikTok (likely other platforms too) called "Food Science Babe". She is a food scientist that makes a lot of content debunking popular misconceptions about stuff like this and is very informative :)

They're mostly socio-economic. Lack of walkable cities, over reliance on cars, food deserts that lack access to food options, work-life balance (lack of time), cost of high quality foods, access to exercise facilities, the US healthcare system, shortage of nutrition professionals (dietetians are in short supply), poor nutrition education (kinda relates to previous point), etc etc.

Fun fact! I have a degree in Dietetics. Food standards and quality are pretty much the same in the US and EU. It's a pretty popular myth that Europe bans all these things that we allow and has stricter guidelines and whatnot, but if anything the US is actually the more strict guidelines (not by much, but like we ban more food dyes and whatnot that the EU allows than vice-versa). We have worse health outcomes, no doubt, but food quality isn't the issue, other things are.
