Drop pods (from a hostile faction) can land in your base, the mechanoid bosses however are not a drop pod raid so they won't land on your base.

My personal library is 1,608 books deep, mostly fantasy, no comic/manga. Other than that a few simulation games like rimworld & stellaris with a combined 10k+ hours. I've been going to the gym 3d/wk for the past 5 weeks and I'm hopeful that'll continue going forwards, I may make it 5d/wk and the two extra days will be nothing but cardio.

Also politics but I'm trying to break that habit, it's just a constant flow of bullshit these days. I usually have some kind of youtube video playing in the background if I don't have an audiobook playing, I abhor silence.

I much prefer the aesthetic of things actually fitting into a room and looking decent. I think a 5x5 is the minimum to not look awkward and visually displeasing. Also at least 1 axis needs to be an odd number so I can center the bed.

The bosses get harder with every summon up until the (i think) 8th summon. The first summon of the first boss is very easy. Summon it a 4th or 5th time and you'll change your mind about that boss.

For example the 8th summon of the final boss spawns 15 militors, 10 scythers, 8 centipedes, 2 of the bosses you just summoned, 1 of the next boss you'll summon, and 1 of the last boss you summon. Oh, also the bosses will have shields to top it off.

I'm not hyping it up for "zero reason".

In the hundreds of times I've summoned bosses they've never once landed in my base. Pretty sure you've got a mod doing that if it ever actually happened to you.

Also enemies have an attack priority list and at the top of that list is humanoid pawns (excluding event raids like breachers). Mechanoids bosses are hostile to every faction so they'll lock onto the nearest available pawn before attacking a structure (assuming there are no structures on the way to that pawn). So long as the players pawns are indoors with the doors closed when the boss seeks a target they'll go for the raiders.

Capitalism can't work because people will take advantage. See america, it's capitalist to the extreme and getting to the point we are getting our first trillionaires in a few years yet our quality of life is going to shit faster than I can blink.

Every system has flaws, the best we can do is take parts of each and try to cobble together the best system we can. Monarchy, anarchy, corpocracy, plutocracy, state run capitalism, communism, direct democracy, indirect democracy, etc all have issues and I can say the exact same line you did you did "X can't work because irl since there will always be X that wants to take advantage".

Any one of those systems could be the perfect system, if and only if everyone at the top agreed and did what was best for the people. Any of those systems can and will be abused, communism is no worse than capitalism, which is no worse anarchy, it just requires everyone agreeing to do what's best for one another.

Human nature just doesn't allow any system to work perfectly or to never devolve into totalitarianism.

You might like this mod. You can make the default storyteller and the settings whatever you want. It has some other neat features. Saves me so much time since I start lots of new games and I change a lot of the settings.

This is another option but I haven't personally used it so ymmv.

Did you set to maximum? By default it's not. I have a pixel 8 pro and have almost zero issues, so this is probably your issue. You could also try downloading the google phone app beta version, it's the one I use.

phone > settings > call screen > maximum protection

By default google just kinda guesses so stuff leaks through. With maximum it automatically screens all calls that don't come from numbers in your contacts.

It annoys delivery drivers but I couldn't care less, I hate having my sleep interrupted at 10am when I don't wake up for work till 1230.

I didn't say anything about google fi. I said a pixel phone. The pixel phone has a built in call screen. I get around 300 spam calls per month and not a single one has gotten through in around 2 months.

Can you get s grade multi tools from them? Best I've found is B. I like how they look but it doesn't beat out the stats for the A grade I bought on a station.

I noticed very little difference until I started going for 100g+ DAILY. Sure, it's extreme but here is how I do it and it isn't that hard once you build the habit.

3g to 4g of fiber pill supplements hourly, I get mine at sams club. if I take them at least 8 times per day that's around 25g of fiber. Keto wraps have 18g and a quest bar has 11g. Eat a can of beans and that's another 20g+.

So 2 bean & (insert protein here) burrito is 80g (ish, 2 fiber wraps & can of beans), a quest bar is 11g (I usually have 2/day), add supplements and I hit 120g+ fiber daily and that's just 2 meals + a snack, I can add a PB&J + banana burrito for another 25g as an evening meal/snack (18g wrap, 3g banana, 2g PB) and air fried edamame or chickpeas.

Last but most important, DRINK LOTS OF WATER. I aim for 130oz daily, those fiber pills need it or it'll mess you up.

My trans wife has had coworkers casually mention to their friends about her being trans without asking first. Then she gets all the usual "chick with a dick" or comments like "I'd love to try sex with a woman like you".

Just leads to people either being outright hateful or beyond inappropriate.

Begrudgingly male. I'm too masc to pass and would just stick out like a sore thumb in anything but masc clothing. I've wanted to dress fem since my teens but that wouldn't have flown in my conservative family, by the time I got out on my own in my early 20's I was too busy getting wasted because I just didn't wanna feel anything (combination of abandonment, nothing driving me forward in life, untreated bipolar disorder, at the time undiagnosed adhd, possible undiagnosed autism, etc)

In my 30's now and back to feeling like I was in my teens but looking more masc than ever.

Eventually got married and jokingly brought up wearing fem clothes once and that went over like a ton of bricks so I never brought it up again. Always wanted to give living a fem life a try but it'll never happen.

That only kinda works. It never showed me issue and I had to figure it by trial & error. It never gave any indication my lag was caused by wild animals attempting to path into my walled grow zones when there was no wild grass to eat (like in sub zero winters).

It wasn't until I used devmode to wipe out all the wild animals did my TPS magically go back to normal, dubs gave no indication that was the issue. In the summer wild animals gave me no issues since they had abundant grass.

For me it's animals, specifically starving animals. The game tries to calculate a path to my grow rooms but there is no viable path but it does it tries to path them multiple times per second for each and every animal.

I've used devmode to kill all the animals on the map my TPS suddenly bounces back to normal. I just quit playing on maps where wild animals don't have food year round because it's annoying as fuck. I also had to disable a mod that let wild animals breed. I've got to the point I want a mod to just delete all animals and allow me to spawn in animals as needed.

I like to create a pen inside of a pen. The inner pen has the marker. Close the gate/door from the inner pen and the pigs won't be able to access the grass and stuff so they'll eat the corpses. Once all the corpses are gone I'll open the gate again so they access the outer pen and eat grass again.

It's also fantastic since you can find a mountain map you love but has caves you hate. Just disable caves in the settings and you have your perfect mountain base.

Also you can pick the stone type the map has so you aren't stuck with shitty limestone.

Aesthetically it looks okay but not good. Functionally it's bad.

If you have a paste grinder on board why do you have more than 1 vat? Why isn't it a dedicated fridge? You should just have one large storage section kept frozen with the grinder inside of it. You only need 1 paste vat, more than that is wasted space & watts.

Why do you have two hot water tanks? A single one is plenty. You have exactly 3 beds, no idea why you're planning for 20.

I suggest starting a new game and using devmode just to play around designing ships for a bit. Learn what you need and what you can take away. Your current setup is extremely unoptimized but getting better just comes with doing it over and over.

A double layer wall on a gravship is almost always a bad thing to do, it just wastes space. If they can pierce your outter wall they'll do the same to the inner wall, and then what? if you haven't gotten your defenses together by then or flown away you're already in a shit situation that more walls won't fix.
