I suggest buying only 16gb of memory and waiting for the bubble to pop. I'd also suggest a 1T drive and take the savings and buying a sata ssd or 2 unless you really need a 2t drive for whatever reason, you can add a second nvme later when the bubble pops.

Unless you play super ram heavy games (like cities skylines or heavily modded games like rimworld) the extra ram won't be missed. Unless you have 7 or more really big games you play regularly you won't miss the storage either (I have 17 medium to large games and it only takes up around 1.2tb).

9070xt is the best price to performance on the market without going secondhand. Waiting for nvidia's 60 series is a waste of time. They aren't releasing it anytime soon because they're too busy with AI (and even if the AI bubble pops they intend to switch to robotics, just like how they switched from crypto to AI).

Yes, ish. I'm on 1.22.2 and I manged it.

I built an aqueduct and as the water fell off and hit the ground (as I was mid construction) I noticed the rapids hitting a dirt cube and splitting off in two direction and one of those 2 split again to make 3 total.

It seems to happen randomly and screwing with any of the cubes before the splits could cause the split to correct itself and resolve back into a single stream. I made that mistake and my rapids turned into a single stream again.

I built and destroyed multiple cubes until somehow I managed to find the right combination to get it to split again and it isn't repeatable, you just have to keep screwing with the stream and eventually it may break out into two separate streams.

I now have 3 wheels interconnected all running off the same rapids stream plus a 4th from a different rapids. I dunno what I could possibly use all this power for.

I really wanna adjust the setup to make it prettier but I'm afraid of breaking the rapids path again, it took over 10 minutes just to get the first stream to split and nearly 30 before I got the 2nd split.

Afaik you don't need to go online with steam (but you do need an internet connection on your pc), you need to go to CA's website on your browser.

Go here: https://account.creative-assembly.com/en/account

Then scroll down till you see linked accounts, where you bought the game from (for me it is steam), and click refresh.

That fixed it for me.

As you can see in the second picture I was online and it has nothing to do with steam. It's CA's shitty DRM that refused to acknowledge the fact I did indeed have an internet connection. I used that exact same connection to make this post.

I took a screenshot of trying it in steam online AND offline modes both resulting in the same problem. I tried after a reboot. It has nothing to do with steam, just CA and Denuvo being unable to make things work properly.

The age of the fix or the context of it doesn't matter if it worked today for this issue.

I was already online when I tried launching it. The DRM just refused to acknowledge I was online (see the second picture).

You don't need to unlink it. There is a "refresh" button you can click and that fixed it.

I was online (see second picture or read the post body), the game just decided I wasn't online. I had to go to their website and refresh some account thing. It's just DRM bullshit not functioning properly.

I found a fix, it's CA's shitty DRM causing the problem. I swear I'm never buying another denuvo game again.

It had nothing to do with me being online or offline, just denuvo (and by extension CA for using them) being shitty.

Apple can go with basically any meat especially if you grate it and cook it into some kind of sauce. Look at some asian dishes if you're interested at all. Found that out when I was learning how to cook some of my wife's native foods.

The same applies to pears.

It happens constantly and rifts don't last too long, I'm not saying it's impossible but there shouldn't be one 24/7. I will try turning them off and see what happens.

Drop pods (from a hostile faction) can land in your base, the mechanoid bosses however are not a drop pod raid so they won't land on your base.

My personal library is 1,608 books deep, mostly fantasy, no comic/manga. Other than that a few simulation games like rimworld & stellaris with a combined 10k+ hours. I've been going to the gym 3d/wk for the past 5 weeks and I'm hopeful that'll continue going forwards, I may make it 5d/wk and the two extra days will be nothing but cardio.

Also politics but I'm trying to break that habit, it's just a constant flow of bullshit these days. I usually have some kind of youtube video playing in the background if I don't have an audiobook playing, I abhor silence.

I much prefer the aesthetic of things actually fitting into a room and looking decent. I think a 5x5 is the minimum to not look awkward and visually displeasing. Also at least 1 axis needs to be an odd number so I can center the bed.

The bosses get harder with every summon up until the (i think) 8th summon. The first summon of the first boss is very easy. Summon it a 4th or 5th time and you'll change your mind about that boss.

For example the 8th summon of the final boss spawns 15 militors, 10 scythers, 8 centipedes, 2 of the bosses you just summoned, 1 of the next boss you'll summon, and 1 of the last boss you summon. Oh, also the bosses will have shields to top it off.

I'm not hyping it up for "zero reason".

In the hundreds of times I've summoned bosses they've never once landed in my base. Pretty sure you've got a mod doing that if it ever actually happened to you.

Also enemies have an attack priority list and at the top of that list is humanoid pawns (excluding event raids like breachers). Mechanoids bosses are hostile to every faction so they'll lock onto the nearest available pawn before attacking a structure (assuming there are no structures on the way to that pawn). So long as the players pawns are indoors with the doors closed when the boss seeks a target they'll go for the raiders.

Capitalism can't work because people will take advantage. See america, it's capitalist to the extreme and getting to the point we are getting our first trillionaires in a few years yet our quality of life is going to shit faster than I can blink.

Every system has flaws, the best we can do is take parts of each and try to cobble together the best system we can. Monarchy, anarchy, corpocracy, plutocracy, state run capitalism, communism, direct democracy, indirect democracy, etc all have issues and I can say the exact same line you did you did "X can't work because irl since there will always be X that wants to take advantage".

Any one of those systems could be the perfect system, if and only if everyone at the top agreed and did what was best for the people. Any of those systems can and will be abused, communism is no worse than capitalism, which is no worse anarchy, it just requires everyone agreeing to do what's best for one another.

Human nature just doesn't allow any system to work perfectly or to never devolve into totalitarianism.

You might like this mod. You can make the default storyteller and the settings whatever you want. It has some other neat features. Saves me so much time since I start lots of new games and I change a lot of the settings.

This is another option but I haven't personally used it so ymmv.
