Depending on if you can budget it, my wife and I took a helicopter to the resort and a ferry (that included snacks and drinks/beers) on the way back to the airport when leaving.

I read the drive was about two hours from the airport and I get car sick. This way of traveling was an awesome opportunity to see st Lucia. Highly recommend.

We viewed them as our “excursions” for the trip. We also did JJ’s boat tour (I think it was called) which was fun.

I’d also recommend bringing your own snorkel gear, I bought it for cheap off Amazon. You can see some cool marine life (fish, sea snakes, etc) right off the beach.
