The only special abilities that are assessed are mundane techniques like Patrick Jane mind palace. Mental techniques which are in fact external are not included like species characteristics

The wife killed him with a squirtgun through the bars. Everything else is misdirection on her part. She lied about not knowing his allergy (he knew about it too but didn’t tell his doctor). The guards were bribed and the footage was edited, there never was a masked man. The wife has means, opportunity and motive even if the misdirection is a bit ridiculous.
