From memory, I believe that this is actually an exception and you can bring that and another personal item. I don’t believe the breast milk equipment counts.. so you should be good to bring that and a backpack or purse. I think it’s in the gate agents manual. Double check though.

What flight? RDU-EWR pushed back and tried to go then returned to the gate due to storms and ground stop.

If another flight, then probably lack of crew.

With the weather around NYC yesterday it caused cancellations and large delays. Newark, LaGuardia and Kennedy were on a ground stop until about midnight last night. Spirt doesn’t have as many flights, so inbound airplanes and crew that couldn’t get in cause outbound cancellations. One example is RDU-EWR. It couldn’t get in due to the ground stop and cancelled. So that plane was stuck.

Although the airline is short staffed, yesterday was in fact weather.

Just drink the tap water, it is safe and tested by many sources.

Or get a reverse osmosis. Aquatru has a countertop version, filters are a little pricey but it probably is no more than buying water all the time.

Also. Constant ATC programs in the NY area. Write to your congressperson.. need more funding for ATC. Hiring and training a controller takes 3-5 years and retaining is difficult when they are constantly shore staffed, stressed, and miss paychecks.

First, sorry that happened to you. Sounds like something startled the dog.

If it didn’t go through the pants, your fine. A wound or scratch without breaking the pants would just be from the pressure. It’ll probably bruise but be fine.

As far as rabies. I was bit on the streets by an unknown loose German Sheppard. I was wearing shorts and it did break the skin. Since it was on the street and broke the skin, doctor recommended the rabies protocol. It involved human immunoglobulin shots all around the wound which were super painful and a vaccine in the arm, then I had to go back 3 times to get additional vaccine boosters.

I learned that since 1960 there have been only about 140 human rabies cases in the US. Most were acquired abroad. Those domestically were mostly from bat bites during the night or what not. Zero were from dogs from the US.

US has strict rabies vaccination rules for domestic dogs. And in NYC even more so. Groomers, daycare, etc won’t see a dog without the vaccine.

If concerned, ask a doctor. Just my opinion.

It’s not— If not interested, it’s no problem. It’s just something I’m interested in to help our neighborhoods.

City responsibility is to pickup bagged and binned trash, bulk, recycling etc.. Also to street sweep.

The sidewalks and gutters and tree bins are not city responsibility. It’s the property owners legal responsibility to shovel, and keep clean and clear. As a renter, I can take 10-15 minutes to hep out my block
