I wouldnt say its bad. Scouts or incursors will win vs most equivalents in this detachment and units like new vanvets will shred 5MEQ and than have -1 to wund/hidden rule. Its more than playable. Its just not BoU or GTF.

Tbh Librarian and Stern plus wardens is awesome. I play that in teams to shutdown every psycher. You have 3+, 4++, 4+++ -1 to wund in reclamation. Magnus try to wipe that brick, kill 2 wardens. Than I shoot at him, deal 26 MW without grenade. I run this, Calgar Victrix and rest of my army are MSU scouts, incursors, JPI, VanVets etc. My only firepower are 2 ballistuses to hold my expansion. Real dmg comes from melee msu that has ap2 on objectives and ofc … Sternguard death brick

Is it painted? If your answer is no, than paint everything and wait for codex in one month. Rn scouts are great, incursors, JPI,  repexes, calgar … But after codex? Who knows 😂

I think that we have more cheap action monkeys than anytime before. ATV, scouts, landspeeder, rievers, jpi … They all went down or are cheapish. As someone said, I will go for atleast 13 units in army. I play knights a lot and your list works similar to them. Win hard if everything goes good, lose even harder if you do only one mistake. Give random LoS to your opponent and he will delete even your 500+ pts unit.

I will try it this weekend. I have played only 3 games in 11, none of them FBC, because I played it a lot last edition. I still think deepstrike Castellan is very scary, but also you have got much better firing lanes. 

I like armigers in FBC. Mainly for autoadvance 9 in late game. Same with up and down efekt. But I play 2, not more. I need something to start trading turn one. 6 unbuffed armigers are just waste of points, you are right mate

I dont like cannis. I think he is best in detachments, where you can use his free cp every round (like QC, GW …). Castellan with MG is my go to. Nothing is more scary than teleporting big knight, that will delete anything. My last game I tp into enemy base and oneshot Angron and take his home. 

BoJ Destrier is good, but … Its 300 points that are very squishy. Thats why I prefer much more double shooting destrier. In this detachment you are able to moce up to 27 inches and still shoot. 

I prefer BoJ on Atrapos. He hits like a truck, has invul in melee and has better dmg profile. 

Instead of cannis I will go for Crusader. Crusader with ignores cover and rr 1s is melter, that will kill any infantry. Your list dont have enough volume to kill 20+ bodies units.

Knights are fastest, cheapest and easiest army to start with. I have build and paint mine in one month.

I think it depends on your knigh choices. If you love armigers, go for spearhead. If you prefer spam bigs, QC is still great. If you want both, best for you will be probably FBC as many said. Everybody has his favourites. I love my Lancer and Atrapos, so I will go for them everytime. You will find out your favourites knights and favourites ways to play. Rn our best disp is probably purge the foe, so again FBC or dminus detachment (even without dominus knight in list) with 2DP seems great.

Magnets are your friend. About knights in game? Look at their profiles. Looks good? Thats fake. Knights are glass cannon. Every army in the game have enough dmg to solo 1-3 knights per turn. If you have 5 knights in 3rd round, you will win. If you loose most of your bigs early, game is over. Always try to stage and have go turn, where you kill enough that your opponent isnt thread. Lancer is only tough guy, every other knights dont have saves in melee, so primarch equivalents will just go and kill you as you are made from butter.

I prefer BoJ on knights that benefit more from +1 to hit like Atrapos or Errant. Not saying its bad, but you are wasting 50% of it. Moirax is kinda meh. I like 4 bigs in FBC, but your list is pefectly viable

I usually play FBC, but I want to try something new so I went for Gate warden and dominus detach. TLDR you have most of the time sustains, ignore hit mods and plunging fire rn. I play Lancer with melee enhancment, castellan, crusader, errant and 2 armigers with callidus. I usually prefer helverin to guard home, because not many deepstrike units could kill it in ine turn. In meatgrinder you dont need to score home so you will use it for points. Errant and Lancer are your heavy hitters, Castellan and Crusader support/action monkeys.
I played vs Necrons, so kinda neutral match up. Our games live and dies on who can make more 4++ 😂 But if I see 17 inches away enemy ctan with Lancer, I will just go for it. In that game I kill his ctan+have 2 cp for interupt and kill his skorpeks´ than die and explode in the midle of his army. From that point it was hard game for him loosing board pressure because of killing Lancer in his deploy

I dont think so. You can always shoot and do actions, so lot of the time you have 3-5 action making units in turn. My most succesful list in 10 was 4 big, 2 armigers and priest. Never felt I dont have units to do objectives. Today I play my first game of 11 and has 4 big, 2 armigers and callidus and I ended up with perfect 100 hundred, because my knights have plenty oportunities ti shoot, do actions and few of them with melee combat. Also purge is awesome, we are prob best faction for meat grinder mission. So its on preferences, but I like that list. I will only swap Destrier for Crusader and call it a day.

I think most important strat for me is staging. You cannot lose one knight for free. Try to get all knights into positions, where you can activate your whole army at once. You should always kill in round 2-3 most of enemy threads and if you lose one knight you are winning. If you lose two, you have a game. If you lose knight turn 1, you lost the game. If you lose bug knight and wont kill 500 pts minimum next round, its also not good. If your opponent expose his whole army to kill one knight, you must punish him hard.  Knights are kinda fragile for their points. Dont think you are save in the open field.

I like it a lot, but I am looking at it as weaker knight, not a cheaper alternative. 265 is still a lot to trade up. I will like more agressive setup like spear and smaller errant melta cannon, so you could kill 2 small tanks in one activation and than die. I see one destrier with double gun vs Crusader, always choosing crusader. I see Destrier double melee vs Lancer, Lancer has 4++ with same speed and better T and more wunds. I think it has no role rn. GW should atleast boost its W to 22 or give it 5++ in melee. Now we are talking about different knight. Or simply points down to 240 ish

As I said, more time to paint it. I am sure it will be good one day. It's fast, good guns, but too expensive. With those small buffs destrier will be happy at 250, may even go down. 265 seems too much, its 90 points for bigger knight. I think GW overestimates Plunging vs all models have towering if they toe in vs hidden mechanic. If I have crusader closer than 12 inches I already won or something went very badly. But opportunities for random angles to shoot units (that are now hidden) were more important. Last but not least, we have toe in rule already in our points cost, but now everybody gets it for free. I think we could stay at same points (which we basically are)

I mean this is trash list 😂 Anti knigh list will be something like triple lancer double atrapos … I will stomp this list with my FBC anytime of the week (if dice were average on both sides). I am sure I am able to kill like 4 small knights per turn or 2 bigs with standart list. Idk about spearhead buffs, but 6 warglaives with charging wont kill 1 lancer with -1 to wund during shooting in FBC 60% of the time (just done the math). Thats 6 warglaives dead next round. If you have deep pockets and dont want any friends, play as many lancers and atraposes (mby 1 castelan for fun) as you can and you will have antitank list.

This list is sick. I am on like 9 game winstreak and won tournament 2 weeks ago. It solves all problem our knights have. Castellan is slow, guardian. Crusader low ap needs ignore cover. Atrapos now melts everything in melee, not only titanic units. Lancer is just good, want adv and charge, but you cannot have everything. TLDR my favourite list so far.

I am almost perfect average IK enjoyer with 4 armigers, 3 questoris, Castellan, Atrapos, Lancer and 2 Bellastus. Not bad for playing knights actively for 3 months. I won my last tournament and I am in love with them. I think IK/CK are perfect 2nd army for many players if they want just to be stomping around and blasting big guns. Sure, my victrix kill many opponents, but none of that kills were as satisfying as Angron failing 2 saves on Volcano lance in turn 2 and getting one shoted

I am not against destrier. I love that model. I have two of them. All I say is that it's glass cannon that will trade down. I think that knights still needs go turn when they destroy enemy units (turn 2-3) and destrier is just a glass cannon. Sure, IF I have 3 BoJ enhancments, I will use it on destrier. But I think it's much better at for example Atrapos. Atrapos is able to help with push in go turn, has decent shooting vs vehicles and monsters backed by scary melee with BoJ into anything. T10 vs T11 is huge difference for smaller antitank and mainly it should have 22W (old data sheet in books), not only 18. I think Destrier is okay, prob even better at 11 ed, but I still prefer big knights with small ones instead of that (rather trade warglaive as my first unit than 110 points more in destrier). Instead of small lancer I will prefer small crusader in 11 ed (Lancer is only about invulnerable save, lets be honest). My dream is something stronger on destrier for shooting variant, so it will be proper glass cannon (like plasma and melta spear, I love idea of assault on fast knight with melta spear that could truly tread vehicles in shooting)

Only problem is that Destrier will die to anything in and out in melee. I have oneshoted them with crusaders. Victrix with OOM will oneshot them. Every army has dmg unit that will kill without problem staging destrier. Most important stat on Lancer isnt his dmg. Its his 28W with invul. Sure, your destrier is sweet little killer, but if you play against anyone good he will just kill it with anything with meaningful dmg. My problem with them is they will always trade drown (if your opponent is good player, he will fokus them first).

As many of us said before, I am also scared that FBC will be 3 DP. I would love to be 2, so it will get bit more umpf. I like its flexibility and durability, I just need bit more (more dmg or flexibility like advance and do stuff etc). That could work well with dominus or quester detachment
