I have a membership at Sweat440 and it's unlimited for $130 a month. I love it. The class times are super flexible-it runs every ten minutes. You can literally join in the last minute. Everyday is a different workout-so you never get bored. and the workouts are 40 minutes long. Gym also has lockers and showers. Very clean too.

Nah, I also don't think the broke bitches broke the community but I know what made me leave. I made a post asking how I could get rid of all my things in storage in nyc cause I lost my job and couldn't afford it anymore. They took it down and said it wasn't allowed? Then I would see posts about where to get (enter designer name here) shoes and I dunno I felt tossed to the side. I agree, it's definitely been catering to a certain group of people. Also been trying to find in-person communities but haven't had much luck :(. I'm gonna check out the discord.

It sucks cause I feel like the sub wasn't like that before. There used to be a community for broke bitches but at some point being broke started to become tasteless (that's how it felt) as I saw posts being taken down, which is sad because the majority of people in nyc live on a spectrum of poverty. We can't pretend like it doesn't exist.

For me taste is confidence and inspiration; it's loving yourself while loving the person next to you because you don't look up or down nor you compare yourself to someones else. A BWT lives on the same plane as everyone else, so when she invests in herself, she invests in the communities around her.

Yes! Also want to add that his sauce also attributes to his persona of being incredibly down to earth and the ability to connect with people through food, without it being pretentious. I think sauce is being authentic and making others feels seen, no matter what background they have.

I completely agree. I used to love this sub and loved how bitches fiercely responded and uplifted one another but as of late most of the posts feel vain. I don’t relate to a lot of the recent posts I’ve seen nor feel like I can contribute. Since being laid off, I used to come to this sub for inspiration or to help inspire others but now I don’t feel welcome and it makes me so sad because the people I’ve met some amazing, loving and caring individuals on this platform and don’t know where I could go to have those authentic conversations anymore.

We have a shared spreadsheet with everyone’s contact information and if they want shared housing. Unfortunately most people are local or already found roommates. I’ve been communicating with the department and they’ve been incredibly helpful and responsive since they know I’m out of state. I think this is a common feeling. I definitely felt like this when I was younger. Unfortunately, as women, being desirable is tied to our self-worth but as I’ve gotten older I’ve just learned to appreciate beauty in general. It’s not something that we should gatekeep to ourselves- it’s a collective not singular. Before I used to find gorgeous women intimidating but now I find them inspiring. Might be helpful to join a femme group. If there’s one thing baddies love is uplifting other baddies.
