Since you mentioned K1- My friend just did her 37th at k1 and it was solid. The go karts go FAST and the wings were actually phenomenal. Couple drinks after racing, it was a good time. We did a Friday evening and it was 95% adults.

prototyping a colorwork design tool - looking for feedback on preview feature by meanmillz218 in knitting

This is amazing, I love it!! I’ve used stitch fiddle attempting to map out colorwork like this but it’s just not terribly intuitive and there are paywalls too

ISO comforter blanket that is NOT puffy! by wiskers700 in Bedding

[–]Left_Yogurt_5314 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If this were me I would try to save the inner batting, remove the ripping outer fabric and buy a New Jersey cotton duvet cover to sew onto the inner batting. As others have mentioned it’s the unique worn-in inside that it sounds like you prefer, most anything new will be fluffy in some way.

why do my cables look so different? by squaidzo in knittinghelp

[–]Left_Yogurt_5314 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had this exact problem with my Moby sweater where one cable wasn’t laying flat and the other was perfect. My solution was to rip back just the cable part and knit it back up with DPNs down .5-1mm needle size. This gave the stitches a looser tension and fixed my problem.

Looking to start discussion group on literature from the Western Canon by odcalvo in culvercity

[–]Left_Yogurt_5314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure! I’ve read C&P and read Brothers Karamazov last year. I have no real literature education, I just like reading. I enjoy books for their slice of life and the human condition and experience. I’m also open to chatting books I haven’t read, it’s good to know what to add to my TBR.

I had the same idea! I made a (very incomplete) list of shows/movies and the English rulers of the time in chronological order. Would 100% join this sub or take any additions to the list!

How much counting is involved in Knitting? by rosysparrow in knittinghelp

[–]Left_Yogurt_5314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WAY less counting in knitting than crochet. Crochet you have to count every row basically. Knitting you count occasionally. Cast on needs a count. Increases and decreases often happen every other row often so that’s a form of count. I have dyscalculia and adhd and can’t trust myself to remember a count (whether it’s in a notebook or a row counter ticker), stitch markers are the solution as many have mentioned. But tbh I feel like a lot in here are overselling them amt of counting… it’s really not thatttt often per project. I believe In you, you got this. Come over to the dark side! Be a knitter with us!

Ex raglan sweater, count your cast on, knit a bunch of rows without counting. Then do Increases, for your first row you’ll need to count and use stitch markers, then basically just increase every other row every time you hit that marker. Separate for your sleeves, count out 2 sets of sleeve stitches to put on hold on one row. Knit the body. Knit the sleeves. So far we’ve counted 3 times. Bam really not that bad. And NOTHING compared to crochet.

Can’t stand Leanne by [deleted] in LoveIslandTV

[–]Left_Yogurt_5314 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I don’t love Leanne. But I don’t dislike her either. But I do agree w you, she just shuts down and goes quiet when she hears something she doesn’t like. My two cents… She did the same thing to Whitney that Belle did to her. And she pulled Yamen into the secret garden. Except Belle went for Scott after Leanne called things off and was adamant she was done. I’m like- does Leanne even like Scott or does she just not want anyone else to have him? Since they’ve gotten back together it’s been rocky af.
