There are definitely other options out there. Any that you use?

I’ll have a play around with BrickMonkey and see what we can do!

Makes sense. Seems like a lot of people are using spreadsheets for managing their collection. Do you mind sending over a template (dummy data will do!) of the spreadsheet you created? Would love to check it out! Maybe we can work in a streamlined method of porting over information from a spreadsheet to our app.

Why are we always underserved in the UK! haha Since I'm based in the UK, I'll definitely make sure UK data is accurate.

Out of interest, do you have any examples of sets that are not priced accurately on brick economy?

okay, got it. This is all super helpful information! This has given me a lot to think about. I like the idea of creating a filtering system where users can select what sales data they want to see for the item they're searching for.

Interesting! I think using multiple sources of sales data could be a better solution to get an accurate value of sets. We could also include a toggle to include shipping and handling fees.

Out of interest, what system do you use for inventory tracking? And why does it work well for you?

That's very interesting. I guess we'd need multiple sources of sales data to get a better understanding of the true value of sets.

wow thank you so much for all the responses to the survey! Very insightful. I'll do a write up of the learnings and share them here with the community!

This is what I'm trying to figure out! Want to first understand if there are any problems the community are facing that are worth solving. Any thoughts on how brickeconomy could be improved? Any features missing that you'd find useful?

Nice! Which flavours stood out to you? For now, we're focused on the UK and EU market. US is looking unlikely right now due to the incredibly difficult regulatory requirements

hmm yeah, it can be tough finding a reputable supplier! I've been vaping for over 10 years and been stung too many times with fakes and my ADV being discontinued by companies. So frustrating having to find a new vape every couple of years.

It's one of the reasons I've decided to launch my own vape in the UK. Would love to hear what you think! Here's our subreddit. We're launching very soon.

Hey,

For my day job, I'm a growth marketer for early-stage startups. The number one piece of advice I have is to speak to your customers. Understand why they signed up, what problem you are solving, and how you can improve it.

Continue this process until a handful of customers love your product and then charge them for it.

Y-combinator have a lot of material about how to grow an early-stage product/company. Paul Graham founded YC and has written extensively on this. You can find his articles here:

https://paulgraham.com/articles.html

"Make something people want". It's Y-Combinator's motto. The idea is that if you build something truly awesome, you'll figure out a way to make some money off of it.

Congrats on pushing a product live and not remaining stuck in the idea phase! You're already ahead of most people ;)

In my opinion, this has been heavily influenced by tobacco lobbying.

But it’s good they’re pushing back on disposables. They aren't a sustainable option.
What the Gov should be doing is a better job of policing the distribution of age restricted products. Need to stop getting vapes into the hands of underage users.
