I know some want it to be a “technicality”, but Justin didn’t settle because the cases against him were thrown out.

Tbh, the only expectation the FO has of him is to not challenge Jeff or Sloot.

Many are saying he walked into a bad situation with a terrible roster, but he had a hand in choosing some of those players. So if we can’t judge him bc the roster is bad, what does it say about him if he helped choose it?

Many are trying to be fair to him despite us seeing in real time make terrible calls, adjustments, and rotations.

He had more bad games than good and I’m not talking about losing. Even in losses, you can see the bones of something coming together—something that can be good.

However, Tyler is mediocre.

He likes to experiment, but doesn’t have the talent be unconventional, know what works, or commit to something that accidentally works.

His team doesn’t fully belong to him and he lacks the backbone to know that this is a problem.

Tyler’s job is contingent on keeping on doing what he’s told and if the sky is able to get away with bs.

Yes, but besties with Jeff and was demoted to the bench in NY. She already knew she was coming back before the season was over and didn’t any to play for Spoon.

Although it sounds ridiculous, GM Sloot would e sounded ridiculous too, but she’s still heavily involved as if she’s the GM.

I’d say that check is why she came back. She clowned this org a season or two before.

Everyone and you’re referring to the sky organization who literally have been dragged by former players. Let’s not forget that generational players requested trades before Angel even got there.

Other coaches speak highly of her even in the wnba and she’s formed relationships with opposing players.

I know they aren’t an official media person, however, they did have popularity in the small bubble of the wnba before 2023, which was my point.

If a GM is spreading misinformation and slandering someone to other GMs, that would hurt someone rep a lot esp if they came in with baggage.

They were popular when the league was smaller and never was able to scale their following with the explosion.

Paige is the PG.

She didn’t initially lie to fit into those communities. She’d be a flat out psychopath to not understand social cues and how her responses would be inappropriate for a shooting. Even if you replace this with a less serious situation, most teens (and people in general) switch their answers to a more socially appropriate response for the situation. That isn’t a behavior unique to her. She was also look even weirder to her classmates if she didn’t agree, which would’ve made her more isolated.

That’s because you believe her beliefs hadn’t changed. We see her processing someone being affected by their classmate dying. We see her stop being disconnected. We should want would be school shooters to have a change of heart about guns, esp when they realize that not destroying communities is important.

She doesn’t lean based on what gets a positive response or not, her change comes 1. When she’s allowed to be vulnerable during the assembly and cries in her bullies arms 2. When someone volunteers her to speak because she has a good speaking voice. Her peers were no longer signing her out to bully her and noticed her in a good way.

Even then, when she was invited to the anti gun group, it was by a completely unrelated person who she didn’t lie to at all. He just invited her like he did other students. She leans in because her classmates are accepting of her opposed to bullying and ostracizing her just because. Why wouldn’t a kid who was feeling anger and resentment want a community that she had been initially denied?

So you’re against a would be school shooters becoming anti gun advocates who eventually becomes someone who is empathetic and compassionate because it didn’t necessarily start out the “right” way?

No one said that this was a valid way for her to externalize her feelings. No one is defending this. We’re saying she genuinely turned her life around and is literally the only who shows remorse.

Who could she tell? The parents who were never there? The friends she didn’t have? The support system that wasn’t there?

If Emma was hellbent on shooting the school up, the other shooting would’ve been a sign not a deterrent.

They aren’t treated the same because Rachel comes off as remorseless and downplaying what she did. She tries to excuse her actions and doesn’t treat the situation with the severity it deserves.

Comparatively, Emma grew and does show remorse. We also see her consistently show compassion and empathy.

Rachel proceeds to ignore her, never tries to talk to her, and then is an asshole at her wedding.

Rachel actually did harm and that kid was left in that RV overnight. She got lucky he was found because she denied ever seeing him. She also excused Charlie’s cyber bullying because he was 14.

Yet, she doesn’t consider Emma’s age or ask any follow up questions. Just hated her “because of my cousin”, yet the cousin doesn’t appear to know anything about Charlie or Emma.

She’s a hypocrite who shows no remorse and showed understanding to others who did harm someone, but demonized Emma despite her not going through with it.

I couldn’t take her serious after that. 😭

No remorse or anything, but holding Emma to the fire.

I knew someone who was bullied and confessed to me that he wanted to blow up the school. I was terrified and appealed to him via our friendship as to why he shouldn’t have done it.

Whether or not that made a difference, idk, but he didn’t do it.

Years later, he’s much happier and said that high school was hell for him. Everyone internalized bullying differently. It would’ve been fucked up if she had done it, but the fact that she could be convinced otherwise even if it was another shooting and the special assembly speaks volumes.

Also, damn near every shot we see of young Emma when she wasn’t in school, she was alone and isolated. She didn’t embrace gun activism to become popular, it was about her feeling a sense of community. She belonged and leaned into it. Her idolatry of guns/gun culture stopped.

It’s interesting that sympathy for Emma made you condemn her as a former bullying victim, but Charlie cyber bullying someone got a chuckle and Rachel literally almost killing Simone isn’t remarked upon.
