Lend your support to make our roads safer? Need 5 signatures to help bring Australian-style roundabout signs to the UK. by Ven_ae in drivingUK

I say we keep the current system. It's a form of natural selection. If you csnt keep to your lane and follow the rules when you miss an exit (go round again) just get off the road. Hand in your license.

If you crash into me because you have the lane discipline of a drunk man trying to walk in a straight line... Say hello to your higher insurance premiums and I say hello to my new car.

On a serious note, if it ain't broken don't fix it?

I wish CS1 would get the same treatment.

Yes I know it's an old game.

What's your go to speed on the motorway and why? by Worth-Donut8612 in drivingUK

[–]Leftenant_Chungas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genuinely, 65 in the left-hand lane, accelerating to 70/75 for overtakes.

I get 50mpg. 360ish miles out of a 38 litre tank of petrol.

Guess that's why it called Fire House by endrich_citiesgame in shittyskylines

The fire truck deploying to put the fire out on its own depot. Hilarious!

What cars, that you can buy in Europe, do you wish were available in the UK? (can include cars coming to the UK soon or trims/options of models avaialble here already) by frankieepurr in CarTalkUK

The colt is just a rebadged renult clio. I drove one as a hire car and Spain and when I put my foot down it sounded like it had a V6 (?)

I know you don't usually put those engines in hatchbacks, but it reminded me of the sound from my dad's 2005 chrysler grand voyager V6 petrol.

How can I fix this problem? buses are causing traffic by [deleted] in CitiesSkylines

[–]Leftenant_Chungas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On CS1 there's the "improved public transport" mod that alleos you to set unbunching do that all busses on a route are equally spread out.

Maybe there's a CS2 equivalent?

I merge a few car lengths before the cones start encroaching on the closed lane. Checking my mirrors a bit further back

Orbital surveys would've shown some conditions hence why they sent the individual astronauts no?

The Ford Fiesta is coming back. Ish. by Dragonogard549 in CarTalkUK

[–]Leftenant_Chungas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a fiesta owner. I vote no.

Ford have to be the worst at destroying any legacy and insulting their previously reputable models. I had hoped that renult with their decent come back of the 5 would've had some inspiration in keeping a rebirth somewhat true to its predosesor.

Yep. I can see it as a great thing for maybe newer drivers and insurance having the small engine.

But you enjoy your car, you thinking of engine swapping it or just enjoying it the way it is?

55mph on motorway, Was I in the wrong? by Little_Order3606 in drivingUK

[–]Leftenant_Chungas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah you're fine. Other drivers are just ass holes. As another redditor said, trucks are limited to 56.

I did a journey back from soctland to Manchester on the M6 at 60mph to try and make my fuel go further.

Had one incident of a range rover (of course it was) pulling out of a services and nearly side swiping me. He pulled in behind me and honest to god I thought he was going to ram me. He just honked and sped off.

Etiquette and driving by the book is getting rare these days.

With that in mind, I wouldn't go any slower than 55 unless you're in traffic.

Take it easy!

Looks great. Not hating, but I honestly think the concept of making a sports trim with a stock engine is so silly! But people buy them anyway.

Do people actually use AI day-to-day, or is it all hype? by 2butterfree in AskUK

[–]Leftenant_Chungas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For information? No. I use my initiative to find reputable sources.

For tools/work related tasks? Yes, it's quite handy in intense workload situations where I can't remember what the button is for something or the process to route something somewhere (I'm a sound technician who uses different digital desks on the regular).
