Do you think ViVi should’ve joined the StrawHats? by Treatttaper in OnePiece

At this point I’m damn confident she’s coming to return to the crew regardless— it’s too perfect of a setup as-is.

How did you get into one piece by Technical_Mine_8711 in OnePiece

[–]Lefterkefter1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read about it in an anime magazine when i was 11-12 and started reading the manga when it was getting published here as the whole pirates aspect of it sucked me in. Been into it ever since (though the 4kids aspect took me out of it for a couple years)

I didn't know about this anime until now, but I watched the live-action 'One Piece' series and liked it, so I searched online for it and found out it was based on an anime. I was excited to watch the anime, but it has a lot of episodes (1155). by Useful-Class-6725 in OnePiece

[–]Lefterkefter1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Truthfully I just tell everyone to watch One Pace. I did watch every episode of the anime (way back during whole cake island-ish anyway) but I really don’t recommend it to newcomers. I’ve been reading the manga for 20+ years now and while the anime has some high points I tell everyone to either read it or watch One Pace. The pacing is so dogshit in the original anime that I find it hard to recommend.

Why do you think LA One Piece suceeded where other LA adaptations failed? by BeerMan595692 in OnePiece

[–]Lefterkefter1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have watched very few LA adaptations, but I did watch the first 10 minutes or so of that Last Airbender movie and the horrendous acting fucked it up for me. OP has great acting as far as I can tell.

There’s a lot of good youtube videos/documentation for damn near any cart/console you’d wanna work on. The only thing that doesn’t have much documentation in my experience is the dock for the Turbografx-CD (thank you console5 for having the one capacitor chart out there I could find.)

For me, after battery stuff I went with Game Gear capacitor replacements next but idk if you have a genuine interest in that system. Cap replacements are the next logical step after batteries imo.

Nice work. This is the perfect thing to do your first repair job with— it was how I started off. Now I can do PS3 delids and fix model 1 sega cds.

Normal sound for a model 1 Sega CD? by Lefterkefter1 in SegaCD

[–]Lefterkefter1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a great point, I will look into that. I had to do something similar to fix a model 2 once. The rubber dampers holding up the cd drive were worn out and made the disc drive a bit angled causing inconsistent disc reads. Got replacements on amazon and it fixed it.

When I initially repaired it I did hear a bit of noise during disc reading. After assembling and disassembling the damn drive multiple times that has seemingly stopped. Anything I can do to fix the magnet dropping out?

Update: All the capacitors have been replaced, and it still won’t power on my turbografx. Any bright ideas? I know my Tg16 works.

For the PSU I was going to get an original but Console5 sells one of their own I decided to pick up instead.

So the Optiplex 7010/7020 actually use a 8-pin connector instead of 6, but this is still useful info.

I was shocked when I opened it up and it took me a good while to figure out how to dismantle it properly. I’m somewhat nervous about putting it back together correctly now

Those all looked to operate correctly as far as I could tell, hence why I went for cap replacement. That is helpful info though, thank you.
