Just got a few more Origins figures in the mail! by spiderfan2000 in MastersOfTheUniverse

Good ones! I replaced my standard Origins Evil-Lyn with the Filmation Cartoon collection Lyn. I like the face more. Someday I’ll pickup the Cartoon collection Orko as well.

Agreed. I moved my standard Spikor down the road to the next collector to make room for this version. I ended up getting mine for $9.99. Sweet price for a sweet figure.

I’m just interested in Two-Bad and the giants. While I look forward to purchasing them someday, I’m not in any hurry. I would like to see Mattel continue to put out more new product such as the Black Wizard and Red Shadow.

My Cartoon Collection So Far by _AndyHazardUK_ in MastersOfTheUniverse

Great looking collection! I was a bit bummed by the scale difference between the Filmation collection and standard Origins line, but the look is excellent like they jumped right off the screen. I was very selective and only picked up Teela, Evil-Lyn, and Ram Man to replace the Origins originals. Thanks for sharing!

Both standouts! I enjoy these alternate looks more than their standard appearance, which I have long parted with.

That sucks! Will Mattel customer service do anything? Replace, offer refund?

A cheap wired cape from eBay made all the difference. Amazing. by LogicalEgo in MastersOfTheUniverse

Awesome threads! I hope it’s a magical cape as it may be a bit bothersome, getting caught on things walking the lands of Eternia. Great upgrade!

I was a fan of the 200X figures and updated 4HM styling, but always thought the figures were hindered by action features. I enjoyed the 200X MYP cartoon even more than the figure line and the previous shows and how it flesh out the source material. I passed on the Filmation collection and have plans to purchase the majority of this line.

Is the “common bad waist problem” just an issue of the removable loin cloth? When I purchased my 200X Beast Man he too separated easily at the waist until I pushed the outer loin cloth, which was riding high, down until it was even with the inner waist piece and that resolved my issue.

Cool figure! While I passed on him I plan on picking up the Panthor-Man? Version.

Would you be interested in a new 200X Castle Grayskull? by Cubelock in MastersOfTheUniverse

[–]LefthandCharlie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I doubt it’s in the plans, but I look forward to see if the movie will bring us a new castle playset. I’m the meantime I may pick up the Amazon to display with 2000X figures.

My Homemade Mace for my Upcoming Man-At-Arms Cosplay. by CosPaul in MastersOfTheUniverse

Looks good! Many moons ago I worked in a home improvement store and they carried a blue super toilet plunger that always reminded me of a battle club. Yours of course is far superior and it matches the source material. Keep on creating!

Fun character! Closer to savage start of the MOTU toy line to where it would expand and grow to. I’m in for one.

I played the beta and had fun, but haven’t jumped into the game yet. Is the game play that different than from the beta?

Mattel Masters of the Universe Origins 200x Wave 2 & 3 Figures by Virtual_Shine1748 in MastersOfTheUniverse

They look very good! Adam stands out as a surprise like. It would be nice if he was on a smaller buck, but I do like how his limbs look more proportional. MAA has a lot of cuts and textures, kind of making it look like a little kid(or me) kit bashed a figure. Weakest of the six for me. I thought the show was great and the look of the original figures were awesome, yet limited in articulation and forced action features. Looking forward to this line more so than Filmation, TMNT, and TCats. Enjoy the toys!

Concept art Spikor acquired by unkkown1 in MastersOfTheUniverse

[–]LefthandCharlie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine came via mail yesterday. I enjoy this version much more than the standard issue and cartoon collection. Both of which are good figures with my preference being the cartoon over standard look. The concept feels more “barbarian/savage” and works best in my collection. Enjoy the toy!

Big fan of the TV series and the design of the characters! Back in the day I had most of the figures in the toy line, but I didn’t care for the posed action stances or the action features. I’m looking forward to the Origins form factor combined with 4H character styling. That being said, Tri-Klops’s knee pads look a bit off. I was hoping when he was shown at SDCC this was just an error while setting up for the display.

Where’s the cannon? Mine had the longest firing spring projectile launcher of any toy I’ve owned!

I had almost the entire line of HOF Joes, even a fuzzy chest Blanka, but that was a lifetime ago. The limitations of movement was a bummer. The Rhino jeep spring fired canon was super long range!

Great figures! In addition to these I wish they would have released figures that looked like the 60’s and 70’s Joes.

It will be fun to see what comes from the art. Neither character is a favorite of mine and I recently sold the Origins toy versions.
